Okay, the highly anticipated 60 Minutes interview with Patrick Clancy and his now wife, Dr. Rachel Dennis aired Sunday night. A lot of people were underwhelmed, but we're going to get into the heartbreaking parts of this interview and the parts that just left you asking more questions. So here are three big pieces of new information we actually got from this interview with Patrick Clancy. Just for everyone's record, the interview was about 14 minutes. But if you are new to watching 60 Minutes, the show is 60 minutes of a news program of multiple long-form interviews. So the fact that this was just the first segment of the show, and you only got 14 minutes didn't surprise me. I expected it. Now, if it was some type of dateline special, then you would have the full hour. But this was just an interview on the program. But let's get back to the new pieces of info. First thing, Lindsay Clancy never asked Patrick for forgiveness after she strangled their children, Cora, Dawson and Callan, killing them all.

This tells me a lot about Lindsay Clancy.

I am shocked that she never asked for forgiveness, never asked really anything from Patrick. And I have no explanation for that. If she was having postpartum psychosis and she was out of her mind and she doesn't remember doing anything and didn't know what came over her, I would be asking for forgiveness.

But that's just me.

Second thing, Patrick was suicidal himself after the murders. During this interview, he described having a panic attack before the 911 call was played during the trial. An ambulance even came to the courthouse to get him. He did decline medication and he opted to go through with his testimony. This is new information. He got very vulnerable, saying he didn't even think he would make it to his 35th birthday. And he was okay with that. He just lost his three children. He felt like he didn't have much to live for at that point. The third thing, his new wife, yes, he remarried in April, is pregnant.

Dr. Rachel and Patrick told 60 Minutes they were having a baby. Okay, these were the new facts from the interview. Now let's break it down.

I'm not going to lie. This interview left me with a lot of unanswered questions. If I was Patrick, I would have never done this interview. He's never going to win in this situation, but he was probably pressured into speaking his side after all these conspiracy theories, which I know has been hard for him. However, if it were me, I still would have not done it.

And I say the interview left me with more questions because the interview did not address so many major parts of this case. So if it were me interviewing Patrick Clancy, and I would still love to interview Patrick Clancy, but if I was doing this 60 Minutes interview, I would have asked these questions. Do you still talk to Lindsay Clancy? Number one, he, we're going to get into it a little bit, but he still is defending his former wife of six years saying that she was not a monster and her mental health caused her to do this. Second question, what did Lindsay Clancy tell you about this male voice? From the trial, all of us know that the experts say they heard her mention this male voice to Patrick. Why was he not asked about this? Third question, this should be very obvious. I would have asked Patrick, what are your thoughts on the judge declaring a mistrial? Fourth question, I would have asked Patrick, have you heard any of the jurors doing interviews? What are your thoughts on this lone juror that still stands by his guilty verdict? And five, can you clear up any inconsistencies in your story? There's been so much online chatter about Patrick Clancy, horrible accusations. I don't feed into that. But if he's going on there to set the record straight, we knew he was gonna talk about the conspiracy theories. He called them deeply harmful to his children's legacy, but he had the floor there if he was asked to clear up any inconsistencies because a lot of people held on to just a little difference in stories when he was on the stand versus what he told police, all that jazz. Let me just say that criticizing the interview does not mean I'm a Lindsay Clancy supporter. My biggest issue with the interview was the actual questions being asked in the interview. So let me make that clear. Moving on. Part of this interview just made you want to cry. There's no other way around it. When Patrick was talking about holding eight month old Callan, when he was talking about being in the hospital with him and Callan dying in his arms, Patrick described that night that he went into the basement and Coren Dawson already dead, but Callan had a heartbeat. And Patrick just kept begging for Callan to survive. He kept saying, I'm sorry, and just please give me one kid.
