And where humans are still writing the script here on the podcast, Jill. I mention that because there's a story we were following yesterday out of Mississippi, where a judge in a federal court threw both lawyers out of court for using generative AI tools to make arguments against each other. The judge in this case, Sherian Acock, the senior US. District Court judge in the Northern District of Mississippi, writing in a sanctions order, this case presents the court with an unusual scenario. Attorneys for both litigants engaged in similar sanctionable conduct, the court is yet again burdened with addressing AI hallucinations in court filings.

I wonder what gave it away that it was AI writing their arguments.

Apparently, there were a, quote, comedy of AI errors in both documents, and the two clients were basically paying Chetchi PT to argue against itself. Apparently, a lot of easy to find mistakes in the filings, Jill, and the judge was like, get this out of my courtroom. I'm sanctioning both of you for being lazy and wasting my time.

Jill, four lawyers involved here. Two of them have been borrowed from appearing before the court for the next two years, and all the lawyers received a several thousand dollar fine. So use AI with discretion, folks. Check its work. I'm still trying to use AI once in a while, Jill, and it keeps getting stuff wrong. And then I tell her, I got it wrong. And they're like, you're right.
I'll work on that in the future. Oh, AI. I mean, at the same time, Jill, we talked about how we're worried about AI getting smarter than us and self-improving.
