We're recording today out of our Industrious office in New York City, which is perfect for a team like ours, because Industrious takes care of everything, so we can focus on bringing you the news.

Mosheh Oinounou (0:12)

Yes, we recently moved to the co-working space Industrious. They have locations around New York and around the world. We have an office in Manhattan. We've also turned one of the offices into a podcast studio where Jill and I record the podcast.

And while we're working on putting it together, I love the snacks. They're complimentary, you've got all day coffee.

Mosheh Oinounou (0:30)

They have special treats on a day-to-day basis, every morning and every afternoon. Sometimes it basically serves as your breakfast. I've obviously used the office in New York, but whenever I'm on the road, I make sure to look up if there's an Industrious there. So I've used it in DC, I've used it in Indianapolis. It is a great co-working space, and we have a special deal for all of you. I said, check it out and see if it's a place where you just want to work out of individually, if you need a break, or if you want to move your office there. Right now we have a special deal going with Industrious. We're offering 50% off for first time day pass users. If you need a meeting room, if you need office space, or again, just a desk in the open space, head over to mo.news slash Industrious. When you see these beautiful spaces in person, you'll see what we mean. Again, mo.news slash Industrious. Book a tour or use it for the day, 50% off.

Hey everybody, it is Tuesday, September 22nd. You're listening to the Mo News podcast. I'm Moshe Oinounou.

Jill Wagner (1:20)

And I'm Jill Wagner. This is the place where we bring you just the facts.

Mosheh Oinounou (1:24)

And we read all the news and read between the lines so you don't have to. Something fun to start us off today. Fat Bear Week kicks off today.

16 brown bears in one of Alaska's national parks competing in a March Badness style bracket to be crowned fattest bear. And you can partake, all of you.

Jill Wagner (1:41)

That's right, people from around the world could vote on before and after photos of the bears who pack on the pounds ahead of winter hibernation. Voting runs through the 29th.

Mosheh Oinounou (1:52)

Last year's champ was Chonk, naturally. He's 1200 pounds. He took home the win despite having a broken jaw, we're told. He's back again this year. People last year cast more than 1.7 million votes in more than 100 countries. According to the park, we'll have a post on our Instagram later today to allow you to scroll through all your various options.

But if you're curious as to where you can vote on this, naturally, they have a website, fatbearweek.org. So go check it out over at fatbearweek.org. But if you want some background, you can wait for our Instagram post today to do your research before you make the vote.

All right, to the headlines now, starting with the latest developments on President Trump's media ban on CNN, Politico and MS Now. Those outlets have filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration over White House access.

Mosheh Oinounou (2:46)

The decision by the president last week started to have some real-world effect on Monday. As CNN was set to be the pool provider. We'll explain later in the podcast what that meant. But effectively, it meant much more limited video coverage and live coverage of the president on all networks yesterday, just as the president is in New York City for the UN General Assembly, having a whole bunch of meetings.

Jill Wagner (3:06)

To Austin, Texas, an ICE agent shot a Venezuelan DoorDash driver, the latest on what happened and the bigger story when it comes to ICE arrests.
