We're recording today out of our Industrious office in New York City, which is perfect for a team like ours because Industrious takes care of everything, so we can focus on bringing you the news.

Mosheh Oinounou (0:12)

Yes, we recently moved to the co-working space Industrious. They have locations around New York and around the world. We have an office in Manhattan. We've also turned one of the offices into a podcast studio where Jill and I record the podcast.

Jill Wagner (0:23)

And while we're working on putting it together, I love the snacks. They're complimentary, you've got all-day coffee.

Mosheh Oinounou (0:30)

They have special treats on a day-to-day basis every morning and every afternoon. Sometimes it basically serves as your breakfast. I've obviously used the office in New York, but whenever I'm on the road, I make sure to look up if there's an Industrious there. So I've used it in DC, I've used it in Indianapolis. It is a great co-working space, and we have a special deal for all of you to check it out and see if it's a place where you just want to work out of individually if you need a break, or if you want to move your office there. Hey everybody, it is Wednesday, September 23rd. You're listening to the Mo News podcast. I'm Mosheh Oinounou.

Jill Wagner (1:21)

And I'm Jill Wagner. This is the place where we bring you just the facts.

Mosheh Oinounou (1:25)

And where we read all the news and read between the lines so you don't have to on this first full day of autumn, Jill Wagner.

Jill Wagner (1:32)

Officially my favorite season. And I believe about 45% of people say it's also their favorite season.

Mosheh Oinounou (1:39)

Yes. For a while now, it appears based on most surveys in the US, fall number one, summer and spring flip, second and third place oftentimes, and then winter, poor winter. I mean, we understand it. We live in the Northern Hemisphere, it's cold. Some people are into skiing and various winter sports, but winter typically comes in fourth place, because you're stuck in doors in large parts of the country. Though we'll see, Jill, we have the Super El Nino happening this year, so some funky things could be happening. The Pacific has never been hotter.

We've actually never gone this long, this deep in a very long time without an Atlantic hurricane. I mean, we're in late September, we still haven't had our first hurricane this season, we won't have any due to the effect of the El Nino, also Saharan dust, sand coming off the coast there, leading to basically an inability for the Atlantic to rev up hurricanes, which we don't mind altogether here. We had a quiet season last season, even quieter this season, so we'll see what comes of all of that. But in the meantime, fall is here, officially started in the Northern Hemisphere, just after 8 PM Eastern time last night, 5 PM Pacific.

Jill Wagner (2:48)

And Mosheh helping to usher in the start of fall. Taylor Swift has a new song coming out. It'll be out Friday. It is called Patient Zero.

Mosheh Oinounou (2:57)

Oh, she's not continuing with the monthly theme, where she has her August song. She's not doing it September 1st.

Jill Wagner (3:01)

I don't think so. I don't know.

Mosheh Oinounou (3:04)

Not yet, not yet. But we'll see what she has in store.

Jill Wagner (3:06)

All right, let's get to the headlines here. The UN General Assembly now underway. President Trump using his speech Tuesday to threaten to annihilate Iran if it doesn't make a deal.

Mosheh Oinounou (3:17)

Yeah, you know, part of the Trump rhetoric, I might annihilate you or I might make a deal with you. Looks like he's leaning towards deal based on what took place yesterday, as we learned, the Iranians just after the annihilation threat met with the US.

Jill Wagner (3:31)

Trump also says he thinks AI or artificial intelligence needs a rebrand. He says that it should be called SI or super intelligence, as he once again dismissed safety concerns.

Mosheh Oinounou (3:43)

Yeah, you have the people who say the world is ending, you have people like Trump who are saying, go, go, go, go, go. And, you know, Trump's a brander and a rebrander. He likes to rename things like bodies of water. And in this case, AI will tell you about which AI leaders will be meeting with world leaders today.
