I feel like my relationship with money has changed a lot as I've gotten older. It mostly used to be about, am I paying my bills and putting some money away? Now there are so many moving pieces and competing priorities, so I wanna feel like I know exactly where I stand, not just hope that everything's okay. So that's what I like about Monarch. Having our accounts, investments, savings goals, and spending all in one place, it gives me a much clearer picture. There have definitely been months where I've looked at our spending breakdown and thought, wait, we spent that much on that? Seeing it all laid out makes those patterns really obvious. I also love Monarch's AI assistant. I can just ask questions about my finances instead of digging through transactions myself. It definitely takes some of the mental load out of managing money and helps me feel like we actually know where we stand. So write your own money story with Monarch. Use the code MoNews at monarch.com to get your first year of Monarch Core half off at just $50 that is 50% off your first year at monarch.com code MoNews.

All right, everybody. Between daily podcast recordings, managing MoNews, workouts, life with a newborn and a toddler, I have learned that drinking water isn't always enough. When I'm dragging, dealing with brain fog or feel a headache coming on, sometimes what I really need is electrolytes. That is why we have partnered for a long time with Element Electrolyte Powder. Each pack delivers a meaningful dose of electrolytes with zero sugar, no artificial colors, and none of the dodgy ingredients found in many popular sports drinks. My go-to flavors are lemonade and grapefruit salt, though they have a whole variety available for all of you. Right now, MoNews listeners can get a free eight-count sample pack of Element's most popular drink mix flavors so you can figure out which one is your favorite. They also have a flavorless pack, by the way. You can find that all over at drinklmnt.com/monews.

drinklmnt.com/monews. drinklmnt.com/monews. We've heard from so many of you who have made this a regular part of your life. Let us know about your Element experience and your favorite flavor. Hey, everybody. It is Wednesday, October 7th. You're listening to the Mo News podcast. I'm Moshe Oinounou.

Jill Wagner (2:21)

And I'm Jill Wagner. This is the place where we bring you just the facts.

Mosheh Oinounou (2:25)

And where we read all the news and read between the lines so you don't have to. As we're learning today that we will be launching whiskey into space soon enough.

Jill Wagner (2:37)

And why are we doing that, Moshe?

Mosheh Oinounou (2:39)

Well, engineers in Scotland and Japan want to measure how the spirit, how whiskey ages out in outer space. So this is set to literally launch booze into space in 2028 It'll then orbit the Earth for five years in a specially developed miniature satellite. And they'll be monitoring from the ground how the whiskey's color and chemical breakdown changes throughout. And they hope that as the whiskey experiences extreme temperature swings, keeping in mind that the temperatures in space are between 150 to 200 degrees, that it could age faster, maybe develop a more complex flavor.

By the way, they're going to be charging a lot for these whiskeys. Very rare situation. But, Jill, we're told this could help develop molecules for medications one day that are difficult to produce here on Earth. So it starts with whiskey, but may end up helping us health-wise.

Jill Wagner (3:33)

Mosheh sounds both fun and potentially helpful for humankind.

Mosheh Oinounou (3:38)

So they claim, Jill, we're going to find out what space-aged whiskey, first of all, how much it goes for in a few years and what actually they find out.

Jill Wagner (3:46)

Okay, now to the headlines. Less than four weeks until the midterm elections, Democrats are feeling pretty good and they're bringing in their closer in-chief, President Obama, who will be campaigning in some of the closest races.

Mosheh Oinounou (3:59)

Yeah, they're hoping he can help make the difference and drive a turnout. Meanwhile, President Trump and vice-president fans doing their best to rally for various Republicans as they try to hold what they can in the House and the Senate. Trump getting a lot of attention for remarks he made Monday suggesting, or did he, that Iran should take out LA and San Diego. We'll explain, well, in fact, we'll play what he said and how various folks aren't reporting it.
