Welcome to TMZ's Inside The Ring, I'm Branson Quirke.
Roger Corral (0:11)
I'm Roger Corral.

And, you know, it's so hard being in this position, especially someone that we really looked up to. As we all know, this weekend, so sad, Pac, you may know him as Neville, passed away, and no current updates on the cause of death or manner of death. Right now, all that we know is that, and this is, you know, even Harvey was shocked. He had wrestled his final match.

The day prior.
Branson Quirke (0:41)
The day prior.
Roger Corral (0:42)
Situations like this, stuff like that is really shocking, because these guys look in shape, and they're doing great. The amount of love that we have heard from people regarding Pac, it's astounding.
Branson Quirke (0:54)
Yeah.
Roger Corral (0:54)
And it really speaks to the person that he was. Because again, we look up to these people as wrestlers, but these are human beings, and they're people. And it's really nice to see the community coming together to honor him.
Branson Quirke (1:07)
I mean, to say it at the least, we really lost an amazing talent. I mean, you and I both, we were going through, and we're going to show some of these clips during this podcast. Just to tell you what we're going to do here, we are going to go through the life and the legacy of Pac.
We're going to go from the very beginning. We've seen tributes out there for his in-ring work and everything, but we're going to go even further back. We're going to go to the beginning of his life. We're going to go to his early life, where he grew up, what got him into wrestling. I feel like a lot of people don't know some of those facts about people that they look up to. And he had a really interesting upbringing, so I wanted to tell that story, tell that truth about him, that a lot of people may not know.
Roger Corral (1:57)
And he purposefully kept himself pretty mysterious.
Branson Quirke (1:59)
Yeah, he kept him very mysterious.
Roger Corral (2:01)
Yeah, so I think something like this, I think people are clamoring for it, so I'm really looking forward to it.
Branson Quirke (2:06)
The man that gravity forgot.
And by the way, personal note, I love this guy because if you go back years, 2015 when he debuted on March 30th, I was at the SAP Center in San Jose. It was the Raw after WrestleMania. When he debuted on the main roster and I was watching a clip before this, I'm like, I see myself on the floor there and I couldn't even believe it. And I've forgotten that. And I remember now looking back on my videos on my phone, it's like this guy was so electric. One of the, if not one of the best talents to ever come out of wrestling.
Roger Corral (2:40)
And a hundred percent. And I think someone like him was very pivotal to the movement that we see now. You see a lot of guys flying from the top rope, throwing moves down to the floor. And he was a big part of that. And it came at a time when we didn't see that from a lot of people. So I think seeing someone like him enter the mainstream into WWE was so, so shocking to the system. And everyone's very appreciative of that.

We're going to go way back to 1986 when he was born. Benjamin Satterley was born on August 22, 1986 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England to parents Deven and Jill Satterley. Newcastle has always been known as a proud, hardworking city in the northeast of England. It is a place built on industry football and resilience. And many of those same qualities would come to define Benjamin throughout his life. Friends and family often describe him as a quiet, focused and incredibly determined. Even as a child, he wasn't someone who saw attention. Instead, he preferred letting his actions speak louder than his words. A personality trait that some would say stayed with him throughout his wrestling career. Like you said earlier, he was mysterious.
And he was, but that was the cool thing about him.
Roger Corral (3:59)
People were afraid to approach him.
Branson Quirke (4:01)
Absolutely. I mean, when I first saw him debut, again, that mystery vibe came out right away.
Growing up, Ben was fascinated with sports. Long before he ever thought about becoming a professional wrestler, he was constantly active. He played football, basketball, hockey, roller hockey and swam competitively. Nearly every day involved some type of athletic activity. Looking back years later, it became obvious that this constant exposure to different sports helped develop the balance, coordination, speed and body control that would eventually make him one of wrestling's most incredible athletes. While many wrestlers develop athleticism after entering the business, Benjamin had been building his physical foundation since childhood without even realizing it. Interestingly enough, wrestling wasn't something that was always encouraged in the Satterley household, which is actually a common theme. Most parents aren't...
