Hi, everyone. Welcome to Mini Scroll. The Daily Internet Culture Podcast bring you the biggest stories from social media, the creator economy, and the digital space every Monday through Thursday and sometimes Fridays. I'm your host, Lauren Meisner, the founder of the Australian youth digital media brand Centennial World. Welcome back to Mini Scroll, everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I did. I have been sleeping so well. Okay, you guys, I need to tell you about these patches. This is not sponsored. I wish it was. I wish it was, but Shawn found these patches for me, I don't know, like maybe on Instagram or something. They're called Restell, and you literally just put one like on your arm, like wherever before you go to sleep. It has magnesium, it has melatonin, like it has a bunch of stuff that allegedly goes into your body when you are sleeping. As you know, I will try anything essentially at this point. And I've been wearing them for, I want to say like two weeks now, and they work so well. I don't know if it's placebo, but if it is, I'll take it. I really don't care. I've had a really good experience. I'm sleeping like eight, nine, 10, 11 hours, some nights, literally waking up like in the middle of the work day, levels of sleeping. But you know what? Again, I will take it at this point. Thankfully, I work for myself, but it's been so good. So I've been having such amazing sleeps, and I'm just like, oh my God, does this mean that 2027? Is it gonna be my year? My year where I finally kick insomnia.
Fingers crossed. So yes, I have been having a really good couple of weeks because my sleep has been a lot better. Oh, and you also don't really wake up groggy. You definitely don't wake up 100%, but I would say I'm not waking up groggy. I've tried a lot of different medications and things like that, and this is pretty mild in terms of how you feel when you wake up. Anyways, before I get into it, please remember to rate, review and subscribe. Please Spotify star rate us. It helps us so much. It helps us grow. It helps us keep going. It helps us get sponsors, all that good stuff. So subscribe to us on YouTube, Apple, Spotify, leave us reviews. All of that helps a lot. The first story that I have for you guys today, I've had so many requests over the past week to cover this story.
What is going on with Australian active wear brand, Ellore and their co-founders?
Okay, before I get started, it was actually really hard to piece together all of this information. So I have taken a lot from obviously some primary sources, but others, I'm piecing it together from different TikToks, podcasts, like people that have covered this. So keep that in mind. I have not been able to independently verify a lot of this, of course, but I'm going to do my best to give you guys like a chronological breakdown and explain what's been going on with Australian active wear brand, Ellore, because they are at the center of a seriously messy co-founder fallout. Okay, so Ellore was founded by best friends, Olivia O'Neill and Ebony McCleese, and they have built this business together. However, it seems now that their partnership has imploded after an employee named Mariah, who is also, this is crazy, the sister of Olivia's on-again, off-again boyfriend came forward with allegations about Olivia's behavior behind the scenes. So, Ellore was founded by Olivia and Ebony in 2021, and last week their employee Mariah took to social media to share what she alleges has been happening behind the scenes at the company. According to Mariah's account, tensions have been building for months because Olivia was allegedly putting less effort into the business while prioritizing partying and dating. Mariah claimed that important work was being neglected, including organizing photo shoots, posting content, launching campaigns and responding to emails. She said that Olivia would ask for her task lists and then allegedly become angry when Mariah followed up on what needed to be done. Mariah also alleged that Olivia had been behaving inappropriately at work and at industry events, including discussing explicit details of her sex life with Mariah's brother, because remember they were on again, off again, and attempting to show Mariah intimate images of him. She claimed Olivia continued these conversations after she asked her to stop.
