**Branson Quirk** (0:08)
Hey, welcome to The TMZ Podcast. I'm Branson Quirk.
**Eric Wilson** (0:11)
I'm Eric Wilson.
**Branson Quirk** (0:12)
How you doing, Eric?
**Eric Wilson** (0:13)
Welcome back. I feel like with me, I like these little gaps in between, you know?
Keeps the people wanting more.
**Branson Quirk** (0:21)
I know, I feel like people are gonna start loving this dynamic that we're not gonna stop.
**Eric Wilson** (0:25)
I mean, if they have it by now, I don't think they're gonna get around to it.
**Branson Quirk** (0:28)
No, no, it takes a while, because someone that didn't like me for a while commented, I think her name was Tammy, and she said that I'm growing on her.
**Eric Wilson** (0:38)
Well, that's Stockholm Syndrome.
**Branson Quirk** (0:40)
Okay.
**Eric Wilson** (0:41)
Let's get into the stories here today. A lot of Taylor Swift wedding stories here for you today, folks.
We have some updates on the wedding. Spoiler alert, I feel like our updates are kinda half-baked here. I'm not gonna lie.
**Branson Quirk** (0:54)
All right, buddy.
**Eric Wilson** (0:55)
I'm not gonna lie, I'm not gonna look, I'm not gonna sugarcoat it. Sell our own story. I wanna sell our own story, but the bottom line is we knew this couple was not getting married in Rhode Island.
Everything is pointing to a New York City wedding on July 3rd. That's where all the rumors are going. And we did a story today confirming, not confirming, but from, we've spoken to police, we've spoken to Congress members that represent Rhode Island, we've spoken to police who were on detail of other high-profile weddings in Rhode Island, and they're all saying no, the wedding is not happening here as far as they know, and they would know.
**Branson Quirk** (1:33)
Well, let's start with this video. So we have the Senator of Rhode Island, Sheldon Whitehouse, Charlie Cotton, and DMZDC, spoke with him yesterday or today, and asked him just that. So let's just play it now.
**SPEAKER_3** (1:49)
Taylor Swift reportedly is about to get married in Rhode Island.
**SPEAKER_4** (1:53)
I don't know about that. I think that she gave Rhode Island a pass, but I hope so.
**Eric Wilson** (1:57)
I would love to have her in Rhode Island.
**SPEAKER_4** (1:58)
Great, thank you.
**Branson Quirk** (1:59)
That was it? He ran in that building, dude.
**Eric Wilson** (2:02)
He seemed kind of bitter about it too, which, I mean, look, you're a WWE guy. You know these cities for big events, they'll bid with the company. Las Vegas bid, outbid New Orleans, even after it was announced, to bring WrestleMania back to Las Vegas.
**Branson Quirk** (2:17)
Do you think a city is bidding on her wedding?
**Eric Wilson** (2:19)
Is this a situation where cities were in a way bidding for it? Maybe not bidding for it, but at least hope that it would. And now the states like Rhode Island, Missouri, California, they're all pissed that it's not there.
**Branson Quirk** (2:32)
But what do they benefit from Taylor Swift's wedding?
**Eric Wilson** (2:36)
All the people getting employed for working the wedding.
**Branson Quirk** (2:39)
How many guests? Like what, like 100, 200 people?
**Eric Wilson** (2:42)
I would say at least-
**Branson Quirk** (2:43)
People are going to line up or try to find where it's happening.
**Eric Wilson** (2:46)
I feel like 200 guests, that's all the hotel rooms, all the places people are going to visit while they're in town, all the people that are employing to work the wedding, all the people they need to employ to be there as police officers and all that kind of stuff.
**Branson Quirk** (2:59)
You act like they're hiring thousands of people here.
**Eric Wilson** (3:01)
They would.
**Branson Quirk** (3:02)
The police officers work off of them.
**Eric Wilson** (3:04)
If this was going to happen at the Ocean House, then they would have. They would have brought in more. That's the point.
You bring in more people for bigger events.
**Branson Quirk** (3:13)
But the Rhode Island venue that we were hoping it would be at looks way better than anything I could find in New York City. Is there anything close to as nice as that?
**Eric Wilson** (3:24)
The problem with the Rhode Island stuff is and probably is a dream location for her to get married. I mean, obviously she bought a house there. She loves it. It's too much coastline, too much easy access, too much drone foot, you know, attempts.
**Branson Quirk** (3:36)
Who cares?
**Eric Wilson** (3:37)
Gosh, like really?
**Branson Quirk** (3:38)
She's that selfish? Come on. Let us see. Selfish?
Who cares if there's a person on the island across the ocean over there with a camera?
