It put $300 million into its USC reserve and spent $136.4 million buying back its STRC preferred stock. The rest went into a brand new pool the company is calling USD Cash. That brings its total dollar liquidity to $6.69 billion.
And unlike the reserve, which is locked up for dividends in debt, this cash can be used to buy Bitcoin, repurchase shares or repay notes. Solana validators began voting Sunday on three proposals, two of which would shrink the sole supply.
CoinDesk reported that change could push daily burns from roughly 650 sold to as much as 9,000. The third proposal ratifies the new Solana Constitution, the very voting system being used to count all three votes. And Gemini is teaming up with Apex Fintech Solutions to push its regulated crypto prediction markets out to brokerage firms. Under the deal, Gemini's Titan subsidiary would become the exclusive venue for crypto event contracts distributed through Apex. It's a play for a booming market.
