Folks, welcome back to another game filled edition of Select Start, the video game podcast for ACMG presents TALK TIME LIVE and TALKTIMELIVECOM. I am your host, XAVIER JOSIAH. We got another fun filled show for you today. Actually, really kind of light on the news, nowhere near as heavy as the last couple of weeks that we had, you know, because of all the events that has come about. So we got some light news, but it's still game related. In fact, one particular bit of news just popped in just now on IGN regarding Professor Layton developers and also Inazuma 11 and Megaton Musashi developers level five. They have come under some bit of scrutiny over from fans who have used their observation and detective work to figure out that they have been using AI to develop the new Professor Layton video game. And we're going to talk about that shortly. But we also got some other news, just random game related news, like nothing really like that. We're going to be talking about the popcorn bucket for the upcoming Street Fighter movie, which we'll talk about that in a sec. But also like my thoughts on Golden Axe, I got a chance to get in three episodes at least. So I'm going to get my thoughts on that. So we'll do all that. But then the final stage review, it's going to be a review and a discussion too, because yes, this is my review and this is my review and my thoughts. Only and I'm stressing that, because we got to have the discussion about reviews and how much worth should we even mind? How much worth should we put on it? I know we like to think that we are reviews need to matter for the masses. But at the end of the day, it's just our thoughts on a situation. It's supposed to just give you perspective on what we thought of the game series and how we feel playing through it in our experience.
What is not supposed to do is dictate the overall consensus of everybody else. Everybody who listens to my review, IGN's reviews, GameSpots, Game Informers, whatever, whoever, Deadline, I forgot to say, whoever. That's just their perspective of what it was. Sometimes it matches up with what you're feeling. Sometimes it doesn't. It gives a different perspective. But in no way, shape or form is it supposed to dictate. And I think the idea is that people think that because companies like IGN, who, by the way, people are pissed off too because they laid off a bunch of people just recently, which is shocking to me. But maybe not because, you know, of all the negative, you know, the negativity they get over their game reviews and opinions and stuff like that. I don't know. Maybe they're not doing as, you know, they're not flourishing as much as people think.
But it's wild to me that, like, because people have big platforms that automatically gives them higher power of a voice that people tend to listen to. There's a lot of people with a big megaphone out there, big platform out there, but not all of them. Not all of them are worth listening to. I mean, people get mesmerized and hypnotized by the amount of platform and presentation that things provide. As a person who is a, you know, graphic designer who has done promotional stuff and, you know, worked with clients for years, I know that these strategies and the plan of actions that goes in to, how can I say this? To, I don't want to say to mesmerize or hypnotize, but to attract is probably the more, the better word, to attract that target audience, to convince them that this is a top quality product, even sometimes when it's not. You know, I, one of my, you know, as much as I don't support them nowadays, I always give WWE credit for, because even when they're bad, you don't really pay attention to the bad and they're, they managed to have their fan base overlook the bad because their presentation is so top quality. So imagine getting a beautifully wrapped package, perfectly wrapped package, and then you open up the package and the package don't produce the same quality, the product or the item in the package doesn't live up to the packaging. It's like you open this beautifully big package, you're expecting something huge and epic, you open it up and it's like a wooden fork.
