This week, Xbox makes major moves at the expense of more layoffs. Rockstar Games revealed their Collector's Edition with one missing and important item. A new anime project based on one of the most popular Souls-like games is coming soon. I check out the demo for Stellar Blade on the Switch 2 Then, in our final stage, I review The Adventures of Elliot and talk about why this game proves that high-resolution graphics and frames per second don't matter. All this and more in this edition of ACMG presents TALK TIME LIVE EXTRA.

Folks, welcome back to another game filled edition of Select Start, a video game podcast for ACMG presents TALK TIME LIVE and TALKTIMELIVECOM. I am your host, Xavier Josiah. We got another fun show for you today with our review of The Adventures of ELLIOT. I played it for the Switch 2, of course, and we're going to have a big discussion about that because the one thing I always talk about with video games and the discussions and the zeitgeist of the gaming community is those younger gamers who didn't grow up with retro games like this or any retro style games like this and don't understand the fun factor and entertainment value of these games and why they still are relevant, why they still stand. And Square Enix has created a bunch of these beautifully rendered, stylized retro games that still means a lot in this day and age. And especially if you're a Zelda fan, if you're a Legend of Zelda fan, this is like Square Enix version of Legend of Zelda. And their take on this with a new character and a new story base and all the stuff. And it's a lot of fun. And you're going to want to sit around for this because if you saw this and wonder like, is it worth it? We're going to talk about that. But it also proves, games like this prove, that you can have fun playing a game like this. It doesn't have the highest resolution, and it doesn't have the biggest character model, you know, 3D character models, polygon rates, or whatever you want to call it. It doesn't require you to have like 120 frames per second to have fun. Like this game is so much fun. It has a lot of depth, a lot of replay value, a lot of stuff. We're going to talk about it. We're going to definitely talk about it in our final stage review and have that discussion as to why you can't rely on, you can't just be so superficial about your gaming. So stay tuned for that. But I just want to say, first of all, there's a few things I want to say, first of all, before we really get started. Um, this is that time of the year, folks. I don't know if you're in the East Coast like I am, but if you are, you know, the weather change like dramatically, like rapidly, like one day it's like 80 degrees and then all of a sudden the next day is like 50 It's 60 In fact, it's like 61 degrees right now. It literally smacks people in the face and it just where it's fall season. It just happens so abruptly. Normally we get eased into this. No, it just went from night to day and from hot to cold. And if you hear me, and if you've been here me for like the last few episodes, I'm a little bit nasally because my body is trying to adjust to this weather. And it's just dropped a cold. My body temperature is cold. The only time my body temperature is not cold is when I'm in the gym, because, you know, I'm already generating body heat. But now I'm sitting still and I may actually do better. I'm bundled up like crazy. I got I got a hoodie on. I got, you know, a jacket on top of a hoodie just to keep warm in here, because, you know, we ain't turning on the heat yet. But I'm just saying, like, you know, and we're supposed to be getting to North East End, which is another just an added reason to why I'm not probably going to go see that Avengers Encore movie. One, I just can't see me watching four minutes, you know, watching a three hour movie with four extra minutes. Like watching the Transformers movie was one thing because you got a 13 minute animated short after that. Well, four minutes. And it's already been leaked out as to what's going on. Like I heard vaguely of what happened. And it's still and luckily it is all at the end, apparently, but it's still not enough for me to want to go out there. And then there's a new recent coming and, you know, the weather is getting worse and all this stuff. So I'm opting out. But there's trust me this Sunday, which I believe maybe maybe is this going to be the last?
