The two biggest weekends of the year. This is the year that, this is one of the mechas of all things, anime, comics, movies and games in the West Coast. And New York Comic Con will be the second coming in October, which I will be attending again. This is, I love, I can't, you know, if you listen to the show, you know, I've talked about San Diego Comic Con for years. The energy it brings, the announcements that come, it's all about an epic weekend of fun. I'm telling you, if you've never been there before, if you ever want to go, I don't know how you could do it. I can't tell you one way or another, because I've had my ways to get there twice. But it is worth every penny. Either this or New York Comic Con, they both are equally one of the most epic events I've ever been to in terms of your favorite fandoms. And let me tell you, just being in the atmosphere of the San Diego Convention Center, it's just something that you'll never understand unless you're there. I remember when I first wanted to go, and I first saw the Hall H panels from Marvel, and Tom Hiddleston come down dressed in low key gear and how he commanded the crowd of thousands and thousands of people in that hall.
I mean, he was like, I need to go there. I need to be there. And in 2015, no, yeah, it was 2015 I went to my first one. I was not disappointed. Trust me, I spent a lot of money to get there because I'm from Philly. So the plane rides, the hotel stays, all that, yada, yada, yada, all of that. It was all worth it, okay? They, it's, it's unlike anything I've ever seen before up until I went to New York Comic Con. And New York Comic Con does it in a very similar way, but does it the New York way. It is so huge. But just to be in the atmosphere of the palm trees and the weather is just great over there and they close up the city and all the stuff, it is just so beautiful. And just to be around, to be outside in the real world with a bunch of people who like the same things as you and not like the toxicity of social media. It's kind of like Titus O'Neill from the WWE just recently talked about this On The Pivot podcast. And he was on air talking about how everybody says the United States is the greatest country in the world is whatever, yada, yada, yada. But he, because he travels around the world, he knows that it's like it's not as advertised all the time. And he's found other places that has, you know, done better in terms of humanity and in civilization and stuff like that. In terms of opportunity, yeah, that's where we, that's where we shine. But those opportunities, man, it's not easy to get. And sometimes people don't make it easy for you to get. And not even just the opportunity to get it. But I tell you what, if you go to San Diego Comic Con or New York Comic Con, it's the polar opposite of social media. It's less toxic. Everybody is just happy to be there. Nobody wants to get into fights. Nobody wants to argue. Nobody wants to get in trouble. They come in there to see the cosplay. They come in there to see the panels. They come in the air to get exclusive, you know, swag and all the stuff, which I can't even wait to see and find out all of the, you know, San Diego Comic Con exclusives that they're going to be giving out there. It's going to be huge. And then on top of that, Marvel is back in that area. Their marquee thing was is having Marvel there for, you know, the Hall H panels. I'm dying to see what they're going to do with that. I am so dying to see what announcements that we have. I already had the Doomsday trailer come out to start the week off. It's been crazy. Even me, even though I'm not here, even though I'm not there, and I was so want to be there, but let's be real, and this is 2026 Like literally 10 years ago, I went there and then I went again in 2017 It costs so much money to go there. It's so, I'm so grateful for Reap Pop because, one, New York is not too far away from Philly. Two, everything is reasonably cheaper, even though it's still, I still, you know, it still costs people. I just booked my hotel stay for New York Comic Con just last night.
