Saylor is back to buying Bitcoin, and Zcash bounces 45% after Bugfix. This is CoinDesk Daily.
Strategy bought 1,550 Bitcoin for $101 million. It's first purchase since the firm sold 32 Bitcoin on June 1st. The buy came at an average price of $65,332, well below Strategy's overall average of $75,680. The company now holds 845,256 BTC, acquired for just under $64 billion. CME launched Bitcoin Volatility Index Futures, giving traders a new way to bet directly on how much Bitcoin will move. The contracts track the CME CF Bitcoin Volatility Index, which reflects expected Bitcoin volatility over the next four weeks. CME's crypto derivatives business is up 38% year on year, with roughly 267,000 contracts traded so far in 2026 And Zcash has clawed back most of last week's losses, rising almost 45% from Friday's lows near $300.
The recovery comes after the proposal for Ironwood, a new privacy pool with the repaired code that would let anyone verify the total Zcash supply is clean without trusting the devs. Get more updates on coindesk.com.
