It's your Daily Dose of Dana. Welcome to the show. Thank you so much for being here, everyone. It's Thursday, October 8th.
Seriously, thank God. I am very happy not only that it's Thursday and we're getting closer to Friday, but also that it's not October 7th. Yesterday was an insanely hard day for me and so many around the world, and it just got more and more controversial as the day went on and I'm just shielding myself back from the online hate. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. Don't mess with me. Okay? I've been training my whole life for this.
Welcome to the show, everyone.
Oh, my goodness, you guys. Thank you so much for everyone that's stuck around since yesterday. You know, it's always, it's always a little, ah, I lost my yoga ball. It's always a little tricky when I bring up anything like about being Jewish or whatever. I'm always like, oh, and I definitely lost subscribers. There's no question I lost subscribers. But that's okay. Like those aren't my people. You don't want to be here. They don't want to be here. Having dialogue is so important, having open dialogue. In fact, I got into a really long conversation over DM with a friend of mine. I'm not going to out who he is, but he is a very large influencer.
He's on podcasts. You would know who he was, but we had a really good back and forth because there was just a lot of questions about everything. I don't understand this, and I've looked into this, and I've wondered this, and what do you think about this, and why do you say this? It was so respectful and so normal. It just felt normal to have a dialogue about, just thoughts about things. It's like why I want my show to exist. I really do believe that my show is a place where we can have these open dialogue conversations about all these things, because I never come in here and say my way or nothing. I'm down to talk to you guys about anything as long as we're being respectful. I'm also really open to critical thinking, and I'm also really open to changing my mind, and I'm also really open to understanding two things can be true at the same time, and it's not black and white. There's so much gray with all of these stories and everything that we talk about. There's so much gray. Welcome to the gray zone, y'all. I've already been to urgent care this morning with Oliver. My youngest woke up and feel good. I said to myself, I don't think there will be one week, this entire school year where both my kids will be at school for five days. It's unreal. I've already been to urgent care, but I also made sure to stop by one of the best Jewish bakeries in the valley. If you guys live in Los Angeles in the valley, go to B's Bakery. It's in Tarzana, B-E-A. I got black and white cookies, a little challah, some sprinkle cookies. That just made the trip to urgent care a little bit more enjoyable. You know what I'm saying? Just had a chunk of challah right before the show.
We are going to get into so many conversations today about all kinds of things. We're going to talk about Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively since we got a few new text messages. It's just more of the same. It's just more of a reason to remember. It's a memory, like an anniversary. Remember, never forget, hashtag never forget that Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are awful people. Then we will also, my god, J True is saying, did Oliver have a test today? And he actually did. He had a math test. But he actually is sick. But he had to email his teacher. That is so funny. And then we are going to talk about Halle Berry because her daughter is now speaking about her older daughter. And then there's a bunch of other stories that I want to talk about because I've got a whole list. We're going to talk about the Roloffs today, you guys. We're going to talk about Roseanne Barr.
Yeah, there's a bunch of things I want to talk about. Oh, and a new podcast I'm obsessed with. There's like two podcasts. Okay, let's get into it. Two cases, a podcast, all the things. Trust me, it's going to be a good show. Make sure to hit that love, like, is there a love button? If there's a love button, I could use some love today. If not, just hit that like and subscribe, and thank you so much. I'm looking through your live chat. Okay, let's just start the show, and then we'll talk more.
