President Trump earned more than a billion dollars from crypto last year while in the White House and pursuing pro crypto policies. His 2025 disclosure showed $635 million in royalties from his meme coin business and over $500 million from token sales tied to World Liberty Financial, the crypto company he and his family hold a stake in despite conflict of interest complaints. The filing also listed more than $50 million in Bitcoin, $25 million in Ether and trades of Coinbase's Class A stock. Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire defended USDC after investors raised concerns about the new open USD stablecoin network, saying liquidity, regulation, and years of adoption can't be built overnight. He noted on X that USDC processed nearly $30 trillion in on-chain transactions in Q1, 80% of dollar stablecoin volume and that industry consortiums have a weak track record of building successful products. He also said Circle's partnership with Coinbase remained strong even after the exchange joined OUSD.
