Hey, welcome to The TMZ Podcast. I'm Branson Quirk and yes, I am solo today. My co-host Deven Rall is very busy at work right now because the story that we are about to talk about, TMZ is currently working on getting new updates, but I'm here to give you everything that we currently have. Like I said, Deven is out there working hard. He might come in, he might step in and give us some new details. But for now, I'm going to give you everything that we have. Obviously, last night was incredibly disturbing Perez Hilton.
He was transported to the hospital after deputies responded to his Miami home following multiple reports, multiple calls that someone was inside and was live streaming acts of self-harm on social media. So last night, if you didn't see this video, and I really hope that you did, and I encourage you not to go and try to find this video, but it populated all over X initially. And there's footage of Perez Hilton, and he is with three other accounts streaming on social media. I believe it was TikTok. And in this stream, all we see is Perez Hilton covered, and I mean covered, head to toe in blood. He has a knife in his hand. He was cutting on himself, and was essentially just kind of just saying nonsense to the camera. Obviously a very disturbing and alarming situation that the other streamers on TikTok, on the social media where the live stream is being held, were saying somebody call. So they definitely did call. And then there's also reports that, I mean, people were watching this thing live. There was, who knows how many people were actually watching this? Thousands, tens of thousands of people were watching live. Comments were pacing through. And in these comments, people, I saw a couple that said that they had called 911 as well. This is in Miami. So I'm sure that they were just loaded with 911 phone calls. So, so far, what we know is that the Miami Dade Sheriff's Office confirmed the individual has been safely recovered and transported by Miami Dade Fire Rescue to a local hospital. We have footage of that where the ambulance is outside the home. Neighbors were quite alarmed seeing this happen. If you don't know Perez Hilton, he is an entertainment blogger. He's been around for a very long time, and his name is actually a play on Perez Hilton from when she had a lot going on years and years ago. That's how he started his entertainment blog and how he became a big star. Now, it's unclear exactly why he had this episode.
But in one of the videos, he leans over, again, covered in blood next to the window, where cops have clearly arrived and says, the police are here, but he does say, I hope that they shoot me.
I can't use the exact wording, but he does say that he hopes that they shoot him. And obviously, he's in some type of episode here. He's not thinking with sound mind. But the video is very disturbing. Again, I don't encourage you to go watch it. But the tough part about this is that we did a deep dive and went back a couple weeks just to find out that he was doing just fine.
Acting normal, acting happy, he was smiling. Now we have the video. We'll play a little bit of him. This is a couple weeks ago where he was talking about the Bible.
