First on this July 14th, well, we should wish our French friends a Bonne Fête Nationale, a Happy Bastille Day. 237 years ago on this day in 1789, the storming of the Bastille prison became the spark for the French Revolution.

It's my high school, high school, Froncet, Madame Rosenzweig. She was my first teacher there in high school, would be proud.
We should note the French Revolution, partly inspired on the ideas of the American Revolution that preceded it by a few years, but the American Revolution that spark in the French Revolution and then, of course, across Europe, you would see the weakening of monarchies, the popularizing of individual rights, citizenship, democratic government. Obviously, the French, they had some growing pains there with the Revolution, the return of Napoleon, etc. But they eventually got there. They'll have a major military parade today, so given all the heat there in France, they've had to cancel some of the events.

The late Senator Lindsey Graham will be replaced in Congress by his sister. She'll fulfill the remainder of his Senate term.

Right, there's a few months left and in just a few weeks there'll be a primary on the Republican side for a nominee who will go to the ballot this November for a chance to serve the next six years. We'll tell you about some of the names being talked about.

Another ICE involved shooting this time in Maine, what we know about it, with protests outside of Senator Susan Collins' office.

Yes, ICE funding is going to be an even bigger issue up there in Maine as Democrats are figuring out still who will replace Democrat Graham Platner on the ballot.

Why Secretary of State Marco Rubio wants to dismantle the International Criminal Court. In business news, a dozen states file a lawsuit to block the Paramount-Warner Brothers merger.
