The chip maker reported $96.2 billion in quarterly revenue and guided to $108 billion next quarter, both ahead of Wall Street. Separately, the firm has agreed to buy open source AI platform Hugging Face for $12.9 billion, extending its reach from chips deeper into the AI software stack. Bitcoin is running into its biggest wall of supply between $80,000 and $82,000.
According to Glassnode, nearly 8% of all Bitcoin was last bought in that band, the largest concentration at any price range. That matters because investors who bought there may sell as the price returns to their cost basis. The average cost basis of the US spot ETFs also sits right around $80,000 to $82,000, adding to the potential sell pressure. And developers of Core Lightning have issued an emergency warning to node operators after a flood of AI-generated security reports uncovered real vulnerabilities. Operators are being told not to power their machines down, but to restart in an offline mode that cuts connections to other nodes while keeping the software running to watch the blockchain and defend their funds.
