I went to Big Bear, California, to the lake. I walked around the lake. I went to Lake Arrowhead. I got away from Los Angeles for a day.

Just getting up to like the trees and then the smell of the trees. I did notice something that I was walking like up hills there and I found myself really like gassed, you know? Like I just couldn't breathe.

And then I looked it up and it's the altitude.

Oh, because it is higher up technically than that.

Exactly. The altitude change affects how you breathe. And I was like, oh, man, it was tough.

Big Bear is kind of far too. How long did it take to get there?

It was like it was like an hour 40 for me. Okay, so yeah, I'm in like Irvine Temecula area. So I came from Temecula. So it wasn't too far.

Wait, you live there and you drive to work every day?

I drive from Irvine.

But not not from Temecula.

Starting off today's podcast with a bit of a of a tough story, you know, as we had been reporting on the Nolan Wells death and the investigation into that in which authorities found no foul play involved. But there are a ton of unanswered questions. If you're not up to date, have you seen or looked into this?

Yeah.

Just everything involving this?

Yeah, I've seen a lot. I've seen what, you know, what Ben Crump has been saying. It's it's kind of like a mystery right now. They kind of don't have too much of a lead, but it's very unfortunate.

The friends come back on the boat from this island and allegedly said that that he was going to catch another ride afterwards, staying there with a girl, but then they had his phone in the boat.

They all denied everything.

**Branson Quirke** (2:26)
They deny everything. To me, it's the phone thing that they had his phone.

And that's that's for a reason, because you don't just have anybody's phone for no reason.

Especially at a teenage age.

Yeah, everybody has their phone on them at all times.

**Branson Quirke** (2:40)
Even when I'm swimming, I would get out of the boat and I would hold my phone above the water just so I have it.

Yeah, exactly.

You know? And then they're saying there was a girl on the island, but it's like, it's like, well, what girl?

Like, do you have a description of the girl on the girl?

The boys got lawyers immediately. That is a very suspicious thing to do, but also a smart thing to do in any sense, because obviously people are innocent until proven guilty. But the parents are not buying what everybody's selling, essentially. So today was Nolan Wells Memorial. It was at the Centerpoint Church in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. And the officiator was Al Sharpton.
And he had basically made a call for justice, including Ben Crump. So there's Ben Crump in this video sitting in the back, but this is Al Sharpton and what he had to say and in terms of what he is going to offer up in exchange for information on the case.
