Welcome to the TMZ Podcast. I am Tawanda Robinson. And you guys know I never disappoint you with my guest. And that is going to be the case again today because I am sitting here with a reality TV legend.
Muvva, all of the above. I am here with Ms. Nikki, baby. Nikki, thank you so much for coming. Thank you guys for having me. I'm so excited to have you in here, girl. I saw you were hosting the TMZ After Dark Tour.

We got a straw for you. You needed a straw for your Celsius. We got the straw for you.
We try to make sure everybody is fit and happy and got everything they need on this show. So cool. Nikki, you have been in the public eye for years. What is the biggest misconception you think people have about you?
Nikki Mudarris (1:55)
I think when people see me with a man, they automatically assume we're dating and that kind of frustrates me because it's like I can't even go on a date. I'm super sheltered now. Like I'm just scared to be out with anyone because I don't want to be associated or tied to the wrong person anymore. So I'm just kind of in this chapter of protecting my energy.
Tawanda Robinson (2:15)
Are you single?
Nikki Mudarris (2:16)
Yes.
Tawanda Robinson (2:16)
Are you dating?
Nikki Mudarris (2:17)
No. I dated one guy, but I kind of feel like it was just I was vulnerable.
It was right after my kid's dad and I separated. So I think I was just trying to get over the hurt, but, you know, it was kind of it wasn't.
I think this chapter of my life is getting back to me, being a present mother, being a great mother, getting back to working. I started back in real estate again.
And just I just been really focused on the gym. Last year, I went through a really hard time in my life. I lost like 30 pounds, like I was at my smallest weight and I looked sick and horrible. I gained it all back now. I've been working now. I'm just like really taking care of myself now. I feel like, you know, right now, even if I'm at the perfect man, I probably wouldn't be able to give him the attention he wanted because I have a one and my son just turned three, but one and two year old damn near. So it's really hard to pour my energy into someone else when I have to give it to my kids. So it wouldn't kind of be fair. So I think that's what I'm realizing. Everything will come to me and this chapter is just about focusing on myself and my kids.
Tawanda Robinson (3:22)
I love that for you. I feel like you've been a celebrity for decades, like different decades and different genres of your life, if you will.
Do you feel like this is the best genre so far?
Nikki Mudarris (3:35)
Yes, because I have my children.
My brother passed away. I went through a really hard time with dad. So after that, I felt like I lost a purpose in my life because we were really close. And I always said, am I going to have kids? Am I going to find a good man? And then I did that. And the relationship didn't work out, but we co-parent well, which is good. But now I have my kids, which I'm so grateful because that love that they give is just like, it's not comparable to anything else.
Tawanda Robinson (4:02)
I'll be seeing y'all on Instagram. Y'all be baking. They give me a run. I'll tell you that much.
