Your two favorite TMZ staffers are here to get you through today's stories, because a lot of updates, a lot of stories today, a lot of exclusives. We're just scratching the surface here as far as what we've broken today, so definitely check out tmz.com for updates and full context for all the stories we're gonna get into today.
But we're leading off on this story that's really been taking hold of the newsroom since it started in February, the Nancy Guthrie investigation. So obviously over the last few days, it's been different sources and different stories have been coming out about the timeline of events as far as the ransom notes go, and as far as what was actually in the ransom notes. So to be clear, just to update, the one that people are really referencing is not the one that we got.

**Talia Bloch** (1:29)
Oh, not the one, we got like 12

**Eric Wilson** (1:31)
We got a bunch from, we got two from the actual-

**Talia Bloch** (1:34)
Kidnapper.

**Eric Wilson** (1:35)
Kidnapper, allegedly. And then we got a lot from somebody who seemed to be well-informed about the case and really spent almost a dozen emails begging us to pay him one Bitcoin to release information about the whereabouts of Nancy's body, because he also alluded to the fact that Nancy had died.
So we-

**Talia Bloch** (1:56)
Or she.

**Eric Wilson** (1:57)
Yes, or she. So we can get into that as well. So here's where we stand right now.
Where do we stand right now? There's so much.

**Talia Bloch** (2:07)
I know. Well, it's so confusing. Every update is like, well, the update is, it is not good.

**Eric Wilson** (2:18)
Yeah. So as of right now, it's pretty clear to the family, pretty clear to I think the public now, that Nancy has probably passed.

**Talia Bloch** (2:27)
Most likely passed.

**Eric Wilson** (2:28)
And what they said in these reports yesterday is that in the second ransom note that KOLD got the station in Arizona, that they said, the kidnappers said that she had died and that she was buried with nature now and that it was an accident. They didn't mean for her to die because obviously in the previous letter, they were asking for a ransom. Yeah.
And that's what led to Savannah's emotional video that people were kind of questioning early in the investigation of her saying, we just want peace, please bring her back to us. We are willing to pay. And that was essentially her asking for her body back so they can put this all to rest and put this behind her.

**Talia Bloch** (3:11)
So sad.

**Eric Wilson** (3:12)
And then we talked about it this morning on the pod of Savannah's plea again this morning because anytime, I mean, if your mom is missing, and at this point, obviously, you know, maybe she's known for a couple months now that she's passed. Anytime someone brings it up or it becomes a large scale news conversation, that's going to upset you.

**Talia Bloch** (3:32)
So it's also not having that closure where you don't know. So maybe she's still holding on to that little bit of hope or not knowing where her mom is or how she passed. That's I think, that's something you can't just get over.

**Eric Wilson** (3:46)
I guess there's a little solace in the fact that if they're saying it was an accident, it was likely she had a stroke or a heart attack or something like that from the stress of all that was going on. I mean, she was kidnapped, she didn't have her medicine, she was bleeding.
So it was probably somewhere between natural causes and something that caused from the stress of all of this. So that at least maybe gives solace in the fact that she wasn't like tortured or attacked or beat up or something like that because it apparently said in the second note that it was an accident and that she's dead.

**Talia Bloch** (4:24)
I hope they get these ties or one day.
