Miley Cyrus Fires Back at Comeback Concert Criticism, Reveals She Nearly Skipped Second Show

College football on Saturday was insanely chaotic.

Oh, my God. Ohio State freaking pulled it out at the very end.

You could say pulled it out or Indiana completely blew it.

I'd rather say pulled it out. Makes Ohio look better.

OK. So there's absolute chaos going on in France.

Courtney (0:44)

Oh, my God.

I was looking at these videos and like whatever city that is literally looks like it's burning to the ground.

So we will get into what's going on in France.

Donald Trump spoke out on Truth Social, had some of his own thoughts. So we will get into all that. Then we'll talk about Miley Cyrus. So she had two big shows at the Hollywood Bowl over the weekend. I knew some people who went.

They said it was a great time. Yeah.

So I guess my algorithm is different than others, because I guess there was some criticism behind her first performance and there was some drama and she almost didn't even perform the second night. And so we will get into all of Miley Cyrus. And then lastly, this just shows like I'm like so out of the game now, because I used to like, like the Victoria's Secrets fashion show was like my Super Bowl.

Like I used to have it marked on my calendar.

Courtney (1:42)

And I had no idea it even happened last night. That's so creepy. They didn't really promote it. I just found out when I saw Gigi like post about it, and she called it the girl's Super Bowl. So I think it's funny that you also called it the girl's Super Bowl.

Deven (1:52)

So we will get into all of that. Kylie Jenner was there, which I'm sure, I haven't really seen this, but I'm sure people are mad about.

See, my algorithm, everyone was like excited. She looked incredible.

But I'm saying, I feel like people are like, why would she be at the Victoria? Anyway, we'll get into that at the end of the show. It's a little bit lighter way to end.

Okay, so there's chaos in France.

Yeah, it all started over the protests about the school lack of funding. Those students were just very upset because the prices are getting higher under staffing. And it started out peaceful, but then it just...

It always starts out peaceful.

It always does. Fires everywhere. Hermes, Apple, all the stores like vandalized. There's graffiti everywhere. All the cars burned down, glass all over the streets. It's just pure chaos right now in France.

Deven (2:40)

Yeah, looting is going down.

So I saw, I think that they put out a... That they've arrested over 2,000 people. So obviously the cops and authorities are responding to these demonstrators, I guess.

Courtney (2:53)

Yeah.

But like you said, a lot of them were peaceful, but clearly you see here in these videos, some not so much.

Courtney (3:01)

No, well, everyone's super mad at Macron because Macron spoke yesterday evening and he was saying that like, I'm for peaceful protest, but this shouldn't be happening. He was saying that they will charge all these people with it, but he didn't give any resolution. And everyone's like, if you're going to make a speech, come with some answers and stuff, but he's just waiting for the prime minister. It's like, you're the president. People want to hear from you, and what is going to be your call to action? So everyone's even more upset with him, so I don't think Macron will help the situation.

Deven (3:28)

I know nothing about French politics or how their government works.

Courtney (3:31)

Basically, the people don't have enough money, they're saying, to live. They keep raising the cost, but they're not providing.

Deven (3:37)

Well, join the club. I know. Do you know how expensive it is to live here?

Courtney (3:41)

Just paid $6.49 for gas.

Deven (3:42)

Yeah, so yeah, all these historic towns are being badly damaged.

Courtney (3:48)

There was like a town hall that burned down and it was over like a thousand. It's just like so heartbreaking. It's just like, why?
