Welcome back to The Bravo Docket. On The Docket, we are going to be continuing our Love Is Blind, the production lawsuits with the second in the line of a few that Angela has pulled and researched. Do you have any updates for the legal team by the way? I feel like we haven't really given any updates on our lives.

**Angela** (2:15)
Well, I've got a huge docket of cases right now. We've got super interesting clients, really interesting cases.

I do product liability defense.

Cool. Well, likewise, also busy.
I think I mentioned a case on Here Before where we represent a celebrity that was being sued by a woman who believed that she was being scammed by him. Basically, like, this happens with certain celebrities. This one, for some reason, he's often, he's often impersonated and people will comment on his social media posts. And then those people will get inundated by scammers who are like, Oh, hey, I saw you comment on my post. That was so sweet of you. Let's take this onto WhatsApp and then make up this whole story about how you need to buy a fan card to meet the person. And this person impersonating this celebrity will be like, Oh, you need to contact my management to get this fan card. So we'll bring in presumably a third party. And then they'll be like, Oh baby, management said that you need to pay more money to get this benefit from me.
And so the person will think that they're talking to the celebrity, they'll think that they're forming this relationship with a celebrity and that the celebrity is being restricted from meeting with them because of management. But none of this exists. The person is obviously not the celebrity. Management is probably just the same person emailing from a different email account. And it sucks because some of these people pay hundreds of thousands of dollars, and I think in our situation, the plaintiff paid $50,000 or something to get a fan card. She thought she was going to meet him.

Oh, man.

The meeting obviously didn't end up happening, but then she sued our client who's the actual celebrity.
And it made it all the way to summary judgment, unfortunately, for my client who had to spend money in legal fees defending against something he very obviously did not do. But she was convinced it was him. So, you know, it's not like it was brought in bad faith or anything. She legitimately thought she was being scammed by him.

Right.

**Cesie** (4:15)
And she was older. She was recently divorced. So she was very emotionally vulnerable. So I had a lot of sympathy for her. But at the same time, it's like the defendant, our client, is not going to settle just because someone was scammed by a third party pretending to be them.
