And the semifinals are set.

And a lot of people actually are still watching. The viewership number is not really down much from that game between the US and Belgium.

We have said it is the most popular sport in the world with like five billion people watching, but it is notable that the numbers are still up in the US.

Right. So going forward on one side of the bracket, it'll be France versus Spain. That game is going to take place on Tuesday at 3 p.m. Eastern. And then you've got England taking on the defending champ Argentina. That game is Wednesday at 3 p.m. And then the winners of those two games will play each other in the final, which is next Sunday.

Yeah. So there was an exciting win with England beating Norway over the weekend and then Argentina defeating Switzerland in extra time on Saturday. And it wasn't just a big weekend in soccer or football over the weekend. It was also a big one for tennis.

At 21, Linda Neskova became the youngest Wimbledon champ in 15 years. And it was her first major title, defeating Alexander Zverev for the men's championship.

Usually sports is at the end of the newscast, but we start with it here at Mo News. No rules. Okay. To the headlines now, starting with some shocking news out of Washington, the influential South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham dying suddenly on Saturday at the age of 71
He had just returned from a trip to Ukraine where he was pushing for new sanctions on Russia.

Yeah, it actually led to some theories as to how he might have died. Though as of this recording, there's no evidence or a belief that there was any foul play involved, but we will look back on his career, his influence. I got to know him personally covering Washington and traveling with him on the John McCain for President campaign when I was a reporter covering that back in 8 We'll look back at some of the moments, Jill, including the time that Trump read aloud Lindsey Graham's cell phone number on national television and what happened after that.

In the Middle East, it looks like we are back to a state of war with Iran, the Islamic Republic launching attacks on Gulf states over the weekend after the heaviest US strikes in months targeting Iranian jet fighters, drones and warships.

Yeah, the game of red light, green light. We've been playing it straight up for a moose. The US called on Iran to announce a permanent green light. And Iran on Saturday said, no, red light.

Back here in the US., a First Amendment battle. The Trump administration is subpoenaing New York Times reporters over its Air Force One coverage and revelations about security problems with the plane.
