Moshe, I gotta say, if you saw some of those pictures of the solar eclipse on Wednesday, they were pretty spectacular. I know we didn't get the full solar eclipse here in the US, but in places like Spain, I gotta say, it seemed pretty magical.

Yeah, memories of, well, not so long ago when we had the total eclipse here across the US.
If you are waiting for totality of a solar eclipse in the lower 48, you're gonna be waiting until about 2045 So just under 20 years, in about a decade, there will be one visible in Alaska. But that's why that experience that we had just about, I guess it was two years ago, Jill, was so rare here.

It is cool to see the animals and how they react, thinking perhaps it's nighttime or not really understanding exactly what's going on.

All right, now to the headlines, starting with the Lindsay Clancy murder trial. She is the Massachusetts woman accused of murdering her three children. The defense says she was overmedicated and suffering from postpartum psychosis at the time. We'll have the big takeaways and the emotional moments from week three in this trial. In politics, the surprise results in the primaries in Wisconsin and Michigan raising some big questions about polls and Democratic voters. We've got some answers. Some big news at the White House, Karoline Leavitt is leaving as White House Press Secretary. Regardless of politics, a lot of parents could probably relate. She says she's got two young kids and simply can't do it all. To the economy, some data on inflation, which food prices are going down the quickest. The LA Lakers could soon have new owners. Even though the team was not officially for sale, we'll tell you about this blockbuster deal. And in health news, a new study finds that three minutes of this activity could cut the risk of more than a dozen types of cancer. And Moshe is on the same history.
All right, starting with the high-profile Lindsay Clancy murder trial happening now.
We should note this story is very graphic and disturbing. So you might want to skip this, especially if you have kids listening with you right now. Clancy is facing first-degree murder charges in the deaths of her three children, five-year-old Cora, three-year-old Dawson and Callan, who was eight months old. Clancy is a former nurse. She's 35 years old. She is admitted to killing her kids back in January of 2023
But the defense says she was over-medicated and suffering from postpartum psychosis at the time. She is pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. Prosecutors though say that she knew what she was doing. Now day 12 of the trial on Wednesday was extremely emotional. The judge had to call for recesses twice after Clancy was sobbing loudly and uncontrollably. Now those emotional moments came during graphic testimony when the prosecution called up the medical examiner who described the condition of her children's bodies after they were killed. The prosecution also called mental health counselor Latisha Dukes to the stand. Dukes treated Clancy weeks before the killings in November and December of 2022
She testified that Clancy reported anxiety, lack of sleep and suicidal ideation. She said Clancy called an Aspire crisis support line in the weeks before her children's killing and was told both times that she didn't qualify for any type of inpatient program because she didn't have a suicide plan. Here's a bit of the defense attorney questioning Dukes.

She met with an Aspire clinician, right? Yes.
And what happened when she met with the Aspire clinician?

She met with the clinician virtually and was told that she did not meet the criteria for inpatient treatment due to not having any suicidal ideation plan.

So if she said, in addition to the fact that she's been in counseling and therapy and seeing psychiatrists and on medications for the past three months or whatever the period ultimately would be, and that she wanted to kill herself, didn't want to be here, couldn't care if she died, they told her because she didn't have a plan that they couldn't help her?
