Hello and welcome to the TMZ Podcast afternoon edition. I'm Eric Wilson.

**Cara Rainwater** (1:12)
I'm Cara Rainwater.

**Eric Wilson** (1:13)
Cara, we got some wide array of stories here today for you guys. We're gonna jump right in because we know that's all you guys care about is the stories. And the biggest story of the day, probably of the month, maybe, definitely something everyone's talking about, is the Lindsay Clancy trial.
Huge update today, obviously. I believe they've been deliberating for 36 hours, something around that number, the jury. And today there was a big update with what the jury is doing. And apparently there's a holdout.

**Cara Rainwater** (1:50)
Yes, so you want me to continue? Yes, so the judge questioned the jurors one at a time before bringing them back into the courtroom as a group. Reddington became visibly upset during the proceedings and slammed papers on the defense table.

**Eric Wilson** (2:04)
Yeah, so essentially, there's obviously 12 jurors. 11 of them have agreed to something, and one of them has agreed against that, obviously. The lawyer for Lindsay was obviously very visibly upset.
He was upset because this person was holding out. And to me, that feels like there's 11 not guilty, and this one person is a holdout of guilty. So the judge reiterated that you need to come up with a decision without a shadow of a doubt. And that's the rule if you're a jury member. You need to do that, and it seems like maybe there's some conversations. This is obviously alleged because they had a sidebar, but they played a white noise machine to block out the noise and the conversation there. So we don't know exactly what they said, but this is kind of what it seems to be alluding to, especially based on Reddington's reaction. I mean, he slammed his fist down. He threw papers back at the judge. He was very visibly upset. So the attorney and judge engaged, and he hit it back and forth. Prosecutors appeared emotional during the sidebar. And despite all this tension, there was no mistrial, and the jury was ordered to continue deliberating. They had been sent home for the day at this time, but they're going to come back again and deliberate, I believe, tomorrow.
I don't know. They might be off tomorrow.
I don't know. I haven't heard about that part.

**Cara Rainwater** (3:32)
Yeah, Liberty Weekend coming up.

**Eric Wilson** (3:33)
But they definitely were sent home. And yeah, this holdout, I mean, they have to come around, or we will get to a point where there will be a mistrial. The judge interviewed them one by one to kind of get to the bottom of who the holdout was. But again, this just feels to me that there are 11 not-guilties in the room, and this one person is holding out. Obviously, it could be the reverse. She could be the one not-guilty, and she's holding out, and she's, you know, the Lindsay Clancy warrior.
But again, obviously, Lindsay's lawyer is hoping this person is essentially thrown off the jury if they can't come to a decision.

**Cara Rainwater** (4:10)
This is just a tricky situation.

**Eric Wilson** (4:12)
Yeah, it's a, everyone, I mean, everyone has an opinion. My Facebook is flooded with opinions from people back home, who all think they're lawyers now.

**Cara Rainwater** (4:20)
I've been seeing it everywhere, every time I open Instagram.

**Eric Wilson** (4:22)
So we'll see that one juror, if they will stop dissenting. But as of right now, they're still a deadlock jury, and they can't make a decision. Obviously, everyone has an opinion, and everyone seems to have a very harsh and vocal opinion about this. Some for and some against. So it's interesting to see where this will land with the jury. But clearly, even the jury has mixed decisions on this, and deliberations will continue. You have 36 hours so far. So interesting.
