Welcome to The TMZ Podcast. Deven here with Courtney.
Courtney (0:11)
Hello.
Deven (0:12)
My voice is much better today.
Courtney (0:13)
Congratulations.
Deven (0:14)
I don't know what the hell happened yesterday.
Courtney (0:15)
Me neither, that was.
Deven (0:16)
That was brutal. That was something. That was, I always have to have water on hand.
Courtney (0:20)
And Brent is out sick today, so you have to get your own water.
Deven (0:23)
Or I'll just use yours.
Courtney (0:24)
I know it's not open yet. I'm gonna take a...
Deven (0:26)
Oh, okay.
Yeah, I'm good today. Okay, so last night, the holdout juror for the Lindsay Clancy trial that has swept the nation, he spoke out through a statement previously, but the very first time we saw him on camera kind of address everything that's been said about him in the media and kind of, I guess, somewhat clarify his stance on the trial and whatnot. So he went on, did he actually go on Sean Hannity, or did they just play a clip? I think they just played a pre-recorded clip. I don't think he necessarily was interviewed, but it's the first time we're seeing him speak, so it's kind of interesting. And then the other story that obviously we've been covering extensively is the Presley Gerber sober house situation. We spoke to a lot of people yesterday who gave a little more insight on what was said to the sober living facility, who might be responsible, getting different people's opinions on protocol.
Courtney (1:34)
Yeah, you just gave me a lot of information on protocol that I thought was interesting.
Deven (1:37)
Yeah, so we will get into all of that, but first, the Lindsay Clancy loan juror.
Courtney (1:46)
I actually do feel bad for this guy.
Deven (1:48)
Do you?
Courtney (1:48)
Yes, because he wasn't supposed to be exposed. Everyone was coming after him.
Deven (1:52)
So they exposed his name, but at the same time, I guess I get it. Like you're getting, I don't know if this particular guy has been doxxed, or I'm sure people are talking about him online, but like-
Courtney (2:03)
Yeah, he was getting death threats. I will say that he came out and said that his job has been very supportive. Which is like, you don't want anyone to lose their job or anything when they're doing their-
Deven (2:11)
Their civic duty.
Courtney (2:12)
Yes.
Deven (2:13)
So, this guy's name, Michael Desronville, spoke on camera for the very first time. We've seen photos of him. He's released brief statements through his attorney.
But now he's speaking out. So here he was on Hannity last night, and this is what Michael had to say.
Brendon Geoffrion (2:33)
Hi, my name is Michael Peggy Desronville, also known as The Lone Jorah.
I know the whole focus has been on me, but we want to reel everything back and put the focus on the three angels that's at hand, the ones that can't speak for themselves, the ones that can't defend themselves, and the ones that can't fight the battles. And those are Cora, Dawson and Callan. A little bit about me. I want to thank God for my Catholic faith. I want to thank God for blessing me with the ability to love my daughter.
And foremost, I would like to thank everyone, every individual that has supported me throughout this difficult situation. Your prayers, your emotional support, your psychological support is a tremendous to my heart. That I feel, that I sense, that I know. I do want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you. Thoughts?
Deven (3:41)
Yeah. So I have a few.
A brief statement, obviously a very divisive trial. But I think you're getting some insight into how he came about, you know, with his decision of thinking of, you know, finding her guilty being the only one is, A, he touched on the fact that he has a daughter. So clearly, he was very focused on these three children who were murdered. And clearly, obviously a religious guy. Yeah. Talked about his Catholic faith. And it sounds like, you know, someone that has a daughter is super religious.
It seems like he was just, there was no way, I mean, they deliberated for 38 hours. There was no way this guy was gonna come, was gonna change his opinion. And I guess he's entitled to his opinion.
Courtney (4:33)
I mean, we've had this debate in the courtroom, in the courtroom, in our newsroom all the time.
Deven (4:37)
It is kind of like a courtroom.
Courtney (4:37)
It is. People either really believe that she did it, or they believe that-
