That's our first time.
Deven (0:14)
It's our first time together.
Netta (0:15)
It's going to be weird.
Deven (0:16)
Wow, you think so? Well, we're off to a great start, guys. We're off to an awesome start.
Netta (0:22)
In a good way.
Deven (0:22)
I was going into it thinking this is going to go great.
Netta (0:24)
Wait, what's your sign again?
Deven (0:26)
Oh, you're one of those? Yeah, this is not going well.
Netta (0:29)
I'm a cancer. It's going to go great.
Deven (0:31)
Okay, all right. We're back on track. We're back on track. Okay, so we're going to get into the Lindsay Clancy trial. The holdout juror finally spoke out. This was obviously the person who caused the whole trial to go into a mistrial.
So it's interesting because obviously some of the other jurors have spoke out about this person. Now they're speaking out on their behalf. So we'll get into that. Lady Gaga, she kept her pregnancy slash baby under wraps for months. And now we have a bunch of details about the kid's name, if boy or girl, all that good stuff.
Netta (1:08)
Is it Goo Goo Gaga?
Deven (1:09)
It is not. Oh, that would have been good. Goo Goo Gaga. I actually kind of like that. I like that.
Netta (1:14)
She made a mistake.
Deven (1:15)
And lastly, Miley Cyrus had her... Are you a Miley Cyrus fan?
Netta (1:19)
Yes.
Deven (1:19)
I knew you were. I had a feeling you were a Miley Cyrus fan.
Netta (1:23)
We have very limited people in Hollywood, and Miley is one of them.
Deven (1:26)
So she's awesome. So she had her album review. So it's not out, right? The album?
Netta (1:31)
The album is out.
Deven (1:31)
Oh, it is out. Okay, cool. So she had her album party last night, so we'll get into all the celebrities and action at that. Sound good?
Netta (1:39)
Such a good album.
Deven (1:40)
Oh, you've already listened to it?
Netta (1:42)
Not all of it.
Deven (1:42)
Oh, okay. I was gonna say.
Netta (1:43)
But I just know it's good.
Deven (1:44)
Oh, yeah.
Netta (1:45)
I don't even have to listen to it. I'm sure it's great.
Deven (1:47)
Okay. So the Lindsay Clancy trial, this holdout juror, like I was saying, caused the whole mistrial.
And now Michael Desronval is coming forward. So he was the lone holdout and saying, basically defending himself, saying that he had no reasonable doubt about her guilt. So I believe, are you a reader or not a reader?
Netta (2:10)
I'm a reader.
Deven (2:11)
Okay, perfect. Well, I'll let you read his full statement.
Netta (2:14)
Oh, okay. Yeah.
So here's his statement. He goes, I didn't have any doubts. As I tried to explain different possible theories during deliberation, I kept getting cut off as if I had doubts based on the evidence presented. Seems like there was a lot of conflict between the jurors.
Deven (2:32)
Well, between him and the other 11 Because then he said, based on all the physical evidence, key witnesses and what the prosecution presented, I thought it was enough proof that she, meaning Clancy, knew exactly what she was doing and planned. So it's basically, he's just defending himself because all these other jurors were saying that he admitted that he had reasonable doubt because they've been doing interviews and basically saying that they were all in unison the other 11 and that he was not. So yeah, I mean, that's basically the gist of it. It's interesting, I guess, he hasn't done an on-camera interview. I imagine he will eventually.
But that was just his statement. I guess he spoke to, who is this other guy? Ray Marshall of Fugitive TV. He spoke to some other guy who then did some interviews, but that was off-camera. He also has a lawyer now, which is interesting. I don't know why.
Netta (3:22)
Did all of this cause the mistrial? Did he cause the mistrial?
Deven (3:26)
Yeah, because the 11 other people agreed that he was the only one who felt like she was guilty.
Netta (3:34)
So did he kind of get what he wanted? Is it good?
Deven (3:37)
I mean, he stood by what he believed is what he's saying. And if that's what you believe, then I guess you shouldn't be swayed just because of the 11 of the other people, but that's just our justice system, I guess.
Netta (3:49)
So interesting.
Deven (3:50)
I know. Okay. We will be moving on to Lady Gaga. Yes. I would imagine you're a huge Lady Gaga fan.
