All right, you've heard us raving about Element for a while now on this podcast. LMNT, the electrolyte powder, has been a long time partner of Mo News. And putting it in my water lately has been a great alternative as I endeavor to drink less caffeine. I didn't realize just how much I was chasing energy, another coffee, and then another every day, and it just leaves you drained. One thing to keep in mind, caffeine doesn't actually give you energy, it just blocks the signal that tells you you're tired, so the fatigue is still there. What actually supports energy is hydration, specifically electrolytes, and that's why I've turned to Element. Their powder is free of sugar, artificial colors, and other dodgy ingredients, and their brand new Element Lemonade Iced Tea flavor, which uses a full black tea extract, is built on the same formula they've used in their core drink mix, sodium, potassium, magnesiums at levels shown to support optimal hydration. The result is a more steady feeling without the crash that comes with caffeine. Now, don't take my word for it, Element is used by professional athletes, by Navy SEALs, and by Olympians. You can check out Element's Lemonade Iced Tea when you head over to drinklmnt.com/monews, and there you'll be eligible for a special deal, getting a free eight-count sample pack of Element's most popular drink mix flavors with any purchase. Again, that is drinklmnt.com/monews.

Hey everybody, it is Monday, August 10th. You're listening to the Mo News podcast. I'm Moshe Oinounou.

**Jill Wagner** (2:26)
I am Jill Wagner. This is the place where we bring you just the facts.

**Mosheh Oinounou** (2:29)
Where we read all the news and read between the lines, so you do not have to. Jill, we have a lot to get to in the podcast, including politics, but an interesting political slash health story that we were following over the weekend in the Mo News Premium account. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez shared some videos and Instagram stories on Saturday where she began the egg-freezing process, including injecting herself in an Instagram story.
She says she wants to be open about the process and show that women can do anything. She said that she feels pretty badass doing it.

**Jill Wagner** (3:02)
Right, she was saying she thinks it's badass that she's going to be giving herself the shots in the green room and then going out, I guess, on new shows and talking about international events, domestic policy, elections, etc.
Mosheh, I can relate because I froze my eggs many years ago at this point. And it was actually when I was working on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. So I was giving myself shots in the bathroom at 3am and then going and doing live shots and live reports. And good for her for talking about it and normalizing it. And she does mention, of course, that she had been saving up for a long time to do it because it is extremely expensive. There are more and more employers that have started to cover the process, but it is still very, very costly.

**Mosheh Oinounou** (3:47)
Yeah. And obviously, it's been going on for a while, but it's pretty unique in the fact that she's 36 years old. She's a congresswoman. She will either run for Senate or run for president. She's considering a presidential run. She's leaving the door open to that. So the whole egg-freezing process for her millions of social followers and the idea that we might have a presidential candidate who's going through the process, super interesting to watch. Just something we are tracking over the weekend on the Mo News premium Instagram page.
