Though I also understand that peaches, it's peach season right now, Jill. I don't know if you've gotten your peaches and plums of late, late July, August. You are guaranteed to have some really juicy sweet peaches.
**Jill Wagner** (0:34)
You know, it's totally unnecessary because peaches are pretty delicious on their own, but I have been baking peaches, cooking them, cutting them up, putting a little butter on them, cinnamon sugar, and then baking them at around 350 degrees. And it tastes like a peach pie, Mosheh, it's delish.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (0:53)
The great thing about peaches, you can have them like sweet on their own, but it goes with the limit to a salad or, you know, in the main part of your meal too, and they give you that extra like sweet twist. So you can distribute peaches throughout the meal.

The perfect summer fruit. All right, let's get some headlines here. Starting overseas, President Trump says the US canceled plans to strike Iran and instead work on a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (1:21)
If that sounds familiar, we've been here before, especially as we enter a Monday and a market open. We will discuss where this leaves the ongoing war and the role the Saudis played over the weekend in preventing an expanded round of fighting.

Back in the US, more high-stakes primaries ahead of the midterms. In Michigan, a progressive leads the Democratic Senate primary. And in Wisconsin, a Democratic socialist is on track to get the nomination for governor.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (1:48)
These are big deal races that will be a test here of whether the more far left of the Democratic Party can win in purple states and swing states, where Donald Trump is one before and where Republicans can win. What the outcomes this week and next week in Michigan and Wisconsin could mean for Democrats as well as Republicans this fall.

**Mosheh Oinounou** (3:11)

Plus Mosheh is on the same history.
Starting in the Middle East, President Trump says the US has canceled plans for another round of attacks on Iran, claiming that there has been progress on a deal that would reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Trump made that announcement on Truth Social Saturday night. He said the US is, quote, locked and loaded and ready to go against the Islamic Republic of Iran at levels of military terror strength and power not seen since World War II. But the president added that Iran and other Middle Eastern countries asked the US to hold off on attacks as the US and Iran worked to, quote, rapidly make a deal. According to the president, that deal would include the immediate, complete and total opening of the Strait of Hormuz and an end to Iran's nuclear threat. Trump added that Israel has joined the US in the commitment to hold off on attacks. And in an update late on Sunday night, he said that talks will begin today.
