Anyone hearing this, do not do this.
Brian Sauvé (0:06)
Don't do it.
SPEAKER_2 (0:07)
Because at one point in the night, I just start laughing maniacally like the Joker. The demons are real and they're right there. I remember when I'm gonna go home and I'm gonna do all these horrible things. I'm gonna force my wife, I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna do, I'm just gonna, ah!
Ben Garrett (0:25)
Hey everybody, welcome to this episode of The Graveyard Shift, a special either spooky season right now or off season show that we release here on Haunted Cosmos. I am your host Ben Garrett, joined as always by my co-host Brian Sauve.
Brian Sauvé (0:40)
So good to be here, Ben. I 100% remembered that we were doing this recording and prepared myself by dressing appropriately for it.
Ben Garrett (0:48)
I didn't remind Brian 10 minutes before we started that we had to do this.
Brian Sauvé (0:52)
Was it on my calendar?
Ben Garrett (0:53)
Yes.
Brian Sauvé (0:54)
Is Google Calendar like an advanced technology that very few people are able to master and I'm not one of them? Yes, that's also true.
Ben Garrett (1:02)
That's why Google Gemini is so helpful. Also, joining us in studio for this episode of The Graveyard Shift is our good friend. We'll call him Steve. Steve, say hello to the people.
SPEAKER_2 (1:13)
Hello to the people.
Ben Garrett (1:14)
Now you know Steve, you know, we can get right in. No, I'm kidding.
We are going to keep up the tradition of doing our icebreaker question.
Brian Sauvé (1:22)
Yes.
Ben Garrett (1:22)
And have you already thought of one? Because if not, I-
Brian Sauvé (1:25)
An icebreaker question?
SPEAKER_2 (1:26)
Yeah. Yeah.
Brian Sauvé (1:27)
I have an icebreaker.
SPEAKER_2 (1:27)
Okay.
Brian Sauvé (1:28)
No, it's not very good, though.
I was going to say, since we all have zero, like this episode not brought to you by Dr. Pepper Zero and Coke Zero, I was going to ask whether, like if this counted as a vegetable, since it's like, do you think that zero calorie sodas count as a vegetable? Since they're basically a health food.
Ben Garrett (1:48)
That's not really an icebreaker question.
Brian Sauvé (1:49)
No, it's more just like I'm trying to justify really, really unhealthy behavior that I've devolved into of drinking like six of these in one sitting.
Ben Garrett (1:58)
Well, hey, here's one.
Brian Sauvé (2:00)
That's not an icebreaker, though.
Ben Garrett (2:01)
This is a two-parter.
One, what is your favorite zero drink, zero soda? And then also, what's your like guilty pleasure food? Are you a sweets guy? And what does that look like for you?
SPEAKER_2 (2:15)
OK, so to answer the first question, yes, it's a health food, provided it's cherry or some kind of fruit flavor.
Brian Sauvé (2:22)
Yeah, strawberries and cream.
SPEAKER_2 (2:23)
You're good. You're good. You're essentially eating strawberries. Yeah. So you're good. That's a great point. I'm very Coke Zero would be my favorite because of the health food. So true. My guilty pleasure food.
Oh, it'd probably be a chocolate chip cookie with a ridiculous amount of icing. My wife makes this really good buttercream. I was going to say it's got to be better. And she makes me like two cookies into a sandwich with about this much icing. Double doozy. Oh, yeah. Just glorious. It's a glory.
Brian Sauvé (2:56)
What are we doing?
SPEAKER_2 (2:57)
It's a glory.
Ben Garrett (2:57)
You and me both. I'm a big chocolate chip cookie guy. And in fact, I'm such a big chocolate chip cookie guy that the other night, I ate seven right before bed.
Brian Sauvé (3:07)
How big are we talking here, my guy? I mean, like I care about your longevity.
Ben Garrett (3:10)
Standard like cat head size.
SPEAKER_2 (3:12)
Is that because you didn't have eight?
Brian Sauvé (3:14)
Did you run out?
Ben Garrett (3:15)
To be honest, the pan was empty by the time I was done. Yes. And then, dude, the amount of milk that I drank right after that.
Brian Sauvé (3:23)
That's good for you. That's fine.
Ben Garrett (3:24)
Oh, yeah. It it cancels it out. OK, so everyone knows the rules here on The Graveyard Shift. Brian and I are going to try to do the best job we can of basically staying out of the way.
Brian Sauvé (3:35)
And we're really good at it.
Ben Garrett (3:36)
We're notoriously great at that. We never interrupt and we're never annoying to be around ever. Ask Evan.
