Here we are today with the third episode with My Wonderful Wife. I'm so excited I get to keep doing these. I'm going to say it every single week.

**Lauren** (0:11)
I am not sure if somebody will catch you not saying that.

**Anthony** (0:15)
Good.
So today, guys, we are in a new place. If you're watching on YouTube or the Spotify videos, you should be able to see we actually went to Denver. It is 115 degrees in Las Vegas.

**Lauren** (0:29)
That's not why we're in Denver.

**Anthony** (0:31)
It's not why we're in Denver, but it's really nice to not be there.

**Lauren** (0:34)
It is so nice.

**Anthony** (0:36)
Oh, my gosh. So what we're going to talk about today is first, we're going to tell you a little bit about our week since the last time that we chatted on here. And then so we're going to tell you why we're in Denver and what we did today and things like that.
I'd like to talk a little bit about HYROX announced there is no elite cruise. So we'll touch on that topic. The CrossFit Games is done since the last time we talked. And our coaching topic of today is going to be the effects of resistance training and endurance training on muscular glycogen storage ability. So what does endurance training and resistance training, how does it affect your glycogen levels within your muscles? And the links to the articles that I use for this will be in the show notes. So you can check that out.
Additionally, I think we still have a bunch of questions from Lauren's last topic. So we might get to a couple of them today, but we're going to be a little bit limited on time.

**Lauren** (1:31)
Yeah, well, we'll definitely, we'll touch on a few.
I think it might take a little bit to go through the coaching topic today. I'm not sure how long it will take and then afterwards, yeah, we'll answer a couple of questions and then we are going to get back to family time.

**Anthony** (1:48)
Yep. So first, Lauren, what was your favorite workout since the last time we talked?

**Lauren** (1:55)
Oh, gosh, I don't prepare for that one. I forgot we were doing that. You didn't remind me. I haven't thought about it.
You go first. Let me think.

**Anthony** (2:03)
So I just was looking at my training log because I was curious what my favorite workout might be.

**Lauren** (2:08)
Wait, so you prepared?

**Anthony** (2:09)
I prepared. Of course I did.

**Lauren** (2:10)
You didn't remind me to prepare.

**Anthony** (2:12)
I forgot.

**Lauren** (2:13)
So he forgot, but he came prepared. I don't think that's forgetting.

**Anthony** (2:18)
So I, the only reason I remember is because my favorite workout was today. We ran up the Manitou Incline.

**Lauren** (2:25)
And that's an experience. That's not a workout.

**Anthony** (2:27)
But I haven't really worked out all week because it's been so hot. I haven't got to run as much as I want to do even like at our house. So it was so hot in Las Vegas. I haven't been running. I did have three or four runs over this past week that I do between 1130 at night and one in the morning. And I actually see a few other Las Vegas runners out there on the trails.
One guy was booking it. Man, he looked like he was doing intervals.

**Lauren** (2:54)
So there...
I want to say there's no way. There obviously is a way. It's not safe to be doing like a run workout outside during the middle of the day right now. Even at night, we just checked and it's like 106 degrees at what is it like?

**Anthony** (3:12)
It was like 9 p.m. when I was there.

**Lauren** (3:15)
So that... I mean, you have to...
If you're going to be doing it outside, yeah, nighttime is kind of the way to go. I mean, it would have to be early, early morning, because as soon as that sun starts rising, you're going to start cooking.

**Anthony** (3:30)
Yep. So it was very hot and I didn't want to run outside. I did a lot more biking this week than I've been doing recently. At least, I started doing 30 to 60 minutes in the mornings.
But the Manitou Incline that we did that we'll probably talk a little bit more about was definitely my favorite workout from the past week.

**Lauren** (3:49)
So that is one of the things that we had done today. We went up Manitou Incline. And for anybody who's unaware of where that is, it is in Colorado. It's about an hour and a half south of Denver, I guess, depending on traffic. I don't actually know how long it took us. Yeah, we were kind of like immersed in conversation. So our drive was us, one of our friends, Charlie, and my dad. So I actually have no idea how long it took us to get there.
