Hey, good morning. Welcome to the TMZ Podcast. How are you, Netta?
SPEAKER_3 (0:41)
I'm so good.
Harvey Levin (0:42)
Oh, it's so fun when Netta comes on, you know? It needs to happen more.
SPEAKER_3 (0:47)
Yes, I've been telling you, we should just make this a permanent thing.
Harvey Levin (0:51)
I don't think you've told me you just think these things. You think them and then you don't say them.
SPEAKER_3 (0:55)
Oh, right. I was hoping you were reading my mind.
Harvey Levin (0:57)
No, no, I don't do that.
SPEAKER_3 (1:00)
Permanent podcast host.
Harvey Levin (1:01)
You having a good morning? Are you having a great?
SPEAKER_3 (1:04)
I'm having a very chaotic morning. All I can think about is the Emmys last night.
Harvey Levin (1:08)
Yeah, Emmys last night, everybody. A lot of people didn't know the Emmys were last night. No, me neither. Let's be honest.
SPEAKER_3 (1:14)
Me neither. It was like, it starts at five East time or whatever. And I remember at like 5.15, my friend were just sitting down on the couch and she's like, oh, Sally Fields just won Best Actress. And I was like, wait, wait, wait, what do you mean? The Emmys is tonight? And I like stopped her. I was like, okay, first of all, spoiler alert. Second of all, run to the couch. Everyone run, run, run, run, run. And I like played it and then we like rewind it and then we started to watch. Oh, great.
Harvey Levin (1:37)
Okay. So you did see all of it then. You know, it's funny because there's a lot of Emmy Awards.
Not all of them are the main one. So last night was the main Primetime Emmy Awards. And then there's like the Creative Arts Emmys, which was last weekend. And then you have these local Emmy Awards that are on like local TV.
So there's a lot of Emmy Awards, but this was the main one last night. I'm kind of bummed because I applied to be a seat filler again. I've been a seat filler before on the Emmys. I had an amazing experience. I love it. It was so fun. I got to sit next to Jennifer Aniston. I got to sit with a few people. It was an incredible experience.
SPEAKER_3 (2:11)
I didn't know that about you.
Harvey Levin (2:13)
They denied my claim.
It's all good. It's all good. I kind of hate it though.
SPEAKER_3 (2:18)
You're upset about it.
Harvey Levin (2:19)
You feel like, you feel, no, no, I hate being a seafiller at the same time. Why? Because you feel like cattle.
You feel like you're so unimportant. It's like, dude, like you are the most unimportant person in this circle. Yeah, interesting.
SPEAKER_3 (2:32)
Like Jennifer Aniston probably didn't even look at you.
Harvey Levin (2:36)
Oh, not at all, not at all. They make you wear these little, if you ever watch the Emmys, by the way, and you see people sitting next to celebrities that have these little ribbons on, that's a seafiller. The ribbon tells you what it is.
SPEAKER_3 (2:47)
It's like a scarlet A.
Harvey Levin (2:49)
Exactly.
SPEAKER_3 (2:49)
Wow. Exactly.
Harvey Levin (2:50)
So last night, there was a lot that happened. We're going to get into Hayden Panettiere. I know you're joining for that, as well as Nick Reiner, not facing the death penalty, by the way. But just off the top, highlights of last night in the Emmy Awards was honestly what didn't, who didn't get highlighted in the in memoriam, one notably being Chuck Norris was left out of the in memoriam.
SPEAKER_3 (3:13)
That's insane.
Harvey Levin (3:14)
That is insane. Insane.
SPEAKER_3 (3:17)
Why don't people flag this? Who's making these decisions? Who makes the list?
Harvey Levin (3:22)
I don't know who makes the list. The Academy makes the list. But at the same time, it's like-
SPEAKER_3 (3:26)
Did they forget or did they purposefully leave him out?
Harvey Levin (3:28)
It wasn't just Chuck Norris, it was Davey Chase and Nicholas Brennan. And all of these people had lengthy TV careers, lengthy television careers, award-winning television careers.
And to leave Chuck Norris out, he died last March of 2026 And fans were shocked by this. I always say there's hope. Oscars are coming up, the Academy Awards are coming up, they have their own memoriam segments. Maybe they save him for that, but to leave Chuck Norris out, that's something else.
