Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s Ex-Fiancé: Foul Play Not Ruled Out in Ken Urker’s Death

No one. Yeah. So big story broke last night. We broke it on the website. Gypsy Rose Blanchard. Everyone knows her. Very famous case.

Went to jail. People know Gypsy, right? Yes. Do we need to get into Gypsies back?

I feel like everyone knows her.

Her baby daddy, Ken Urker, was found dead in Louisiana yesterday on what would have been his 34th birthday.

Courtney (0:52)

So sad.

Very sad. Very shocking headline. We will get into what we know.

Gypsy has broken her silence. You know, Twitter has gone crazy. So we will get into the facts.

Courtney (1:04)

A lot of people, I'm sure, have their opinions on the situation.

Deven (1:07)

For sure. And then Halle Berry had a very, I guess it wasn't her. Technically, it was her ex-husband filed a restraining order against her.

Courtney (1:18)

So weird.

Deven (1:19)

Involving some allegations of filed abuse of their son. And I mean, they've had a very contentious relationship, divorce and haven't really heard from them in a while, but these docs were filed yesterday and it was pretty explosive.

Courtney (1:33)

Yes. It was a terrible divorce.

Deven (1:35)

Yeah. That was kind of like before my, I think that was like before my time at TMZ.

Courtney (1:39)

It was like just when I got here.

Deven (1:41)

So yeah. So we will get into the documents, the allegations, lawyers are putting out statements, etc.

Courtney (1:48)

So Ken Urker, so the background is Ken Urker is Gypsy Rose's ex-fiance.

Yeah. They have a kid together.

Deven (1:58)

They have a kid together, Aurora, I believe her name is. They met while she was in prison. So he was her pen pal.

They start dating, she gets out, they then have a kid together, then they break up and then she got with that other guy, right?

Ryan Anderson. So then she ended up marrying someone else. They got divorced, then her and Ken get back together. So that's kind of like where Ken fits in Gypsy Rose equation.

So yesterday, we found out that he was found dead in Louisiana at his apartment.

Courtney (2:34)

His brother found him, correct?

Deven (2:36)

I believe it was Gypsy's brother who discovered. Apparently, yesterday would have been his 34th birthday. And they were, Gypsy's brother and her wife, or his wife had gone because they were taking him to dinner.

Courtney (2:50)

Deven (2:52)

And they found him deceased in his Raceland residence, which is down in Louisiana.

Courtney (2:57)

Well, yeah, and she says that she texted him, but he never responded.

Deven (3:01)

Yes. So apparently she had texted him, happy birthday, he didn't respond, and that kind of raised a red flag of someone should go over there and check on him. So we got a statement from the sheriffs down there, who basically said they responded to this residence after they received a call at 615 He was dead upon arrival. They're obviously opened up a death investigation, but they are saying that they are not ruling out foul play as of yet.

So Gypsy released a statement to us shortly after we put up the story that Ken had passed. And she's blaming, the statement kind of is saying that he was relentlessly cyber bullied.

That's not good.

And she described him as an amazing father, that that was the love of her life and forever will be her soulmate. But apparently, she is blaming the level of public scrutiny and the relentless cyber bullying on social media as to reasons of why she thinks he ultimately passed.

Courtney (4:12)

And then, wasn't there something else about an overdose?

Deven (4:15)

Yeah, so we're obviously working on our end to get, what's it called, to get police reports and whatnot. But Gypsy is saying it is believed that he died from a parent overdose. So we have not confirmed that with authorities yet, but that is what she is saying publicly.

Courtney (4:34)

Yeah, and she's also saying that she'll make sure that her daughter knows, like the amazing father that she wasn't like growing up and keep him alive for the daughter.

Deven (4:41)

Yeah. But yeah, I think, I mean, so, you know, obviously this is fresh. So the cops are still they haven't ruled anything out, essentially. They are going to be investigating what happened here.
