We're recording today out of our Industrious office in New York City, which is perfect for a team like ours, because Industrious takes care of everything, so we can focus on bringing you the news.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (0:12)
Yes, we recently moved to the co-working space Industrious. They have locations around New York and around the world. We have an office in Manhattan. We've also turned one of the offices into a podcast studio, where Jill and I record the podcast.
**Jill Wagner** (0:23)
And while we're working on putting it together, I love the snacks. They're complimentary, you've got all day coffee.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (0:30)
They have special treats on a day to day basis, every morning and every afternoon. Sometimes it basically serves as your breakfast. I've obviously used the office in New York, but whenever I'm on the road, I make sure to look up if there's an Industrious there. So I've used it in DC, I've used it in Indianapolis. It is a great co-working space, and we have a special deal for all of you. I said, check it out and see if it's a place where you just want to work out of individually, if you need a break, or if you want to move your office there. Right now we have a special deal going with Industrious. We're offering 50% off for first-time day pass users. If you need a meeting room, if you need office space, or again, just a desk in the open space, head over to mo.news slash Industrious. When you see these beautiful spaces in person, you'll see what we mean. Again, mo.news slash Industrious. Book a tour or use it for the day. 50% off.
Hey everybody, it is Tuesday, July 7th. You're listening to the Mo News podcast. I'm Moshe Oinounou on this 7-7.
**Jill Wagner** (1:21)
And I am Jill Wagner. This is the place where we bring you Just the Facts.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (1:25)
And we read all the news and read between the lines so you don't have to. Fun fact about this day, July 7th, it is the only non-September date that is in the top 10 most popular birthdays. Now, September is always a big month because that comes about nine months after Christmas and New Year's. That's when, well, a lot of people tend to...
**Jill Wagner** (1:48)
We get it, Moshe.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (1:51)
And so, ultimately, nine months later, all the most popular birthdays are like September 20th, September 13th, yada, yada, yada. Yet, the one non-September date that cracks the top 10 is July 7th because in numerology, 7-7 is pretty big, especially in China and Asia, but also here in the US. So we keep that in mind, Jill, as my wife's due date is just days away. Will we be joining the 7-7 party? I don't know, as I taped this late on 7-6.
**Jill Wagner** (2:19)
Now, that is what we call a deep tease, people. You'll have to tune in tomorrow to find out.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (2:26)
We're going to find out if baby wants to come or doesn't want to come today.
**Jill Wagner** (2:30)
All right, let's get to the headlines here. New disturbing sexual assault allegations against Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner. He denies any wrongdoing, but says he is reassessing his campaign.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (2:42)
Right, and we're watching this hour by hour as some top Democrats who have been standing by him through all the previous allegations in recent months are now calling on him to drop out. What we know and what may happen next.
**Jill Wagner** (2:54)
Other news that could impact the midterms, rising Democratic star Mallory McMorrow is suspending her Senate bid.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (3:01)
What that means for another Senate race we've been watching, especially as we've seen a number of victories for progressives in recent weeks. Then we recap the US. World Cup dream turning into a nightmare last night. We'll recap the US men's game against Belgium and all the controversy leading into it.
**Jill Wagner** (3:16)
Trump accounts officially launched how they work and how many of the country's newest Americans already have one. To the Middle East, Hamas said it is dissolving its government in Gaza and transferring power to a UN-backed committee.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (3:31)
The big question though is will the group that has agreed to disarm, well, will they give them up?
**Jill Wagner** (3:36)
Cuba's national electric grid has collapsed, making a difficult situation on the island even more unbearable, and a sign of the times and the rising cost of rent and owning a home. More young people are moving back in with their parents.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (3:50)
We'll tell you about the trend line and just how much things have changed in the past five years.
