Coming up today on Mini Scroll, a new viral TikTok debate, Abercrombie & Fitch is facing pink tack accusations, a Kelly Clarkson update, and could this be the first sign that the AI bubble is bursting? Hi everyone, welcome to Mini Scroll, the daily internet culture podcast, bringing you the biggest stories from social media, the creator economy and the digital space every Monday through Thursday and sometimes Fridays. I'm your host, Lauren Meisner, founder of the Australian Youth Digital Media Brand, Centennial World. Welcome back to Mini Scroll, everyone. Okay, I have two updates for you guys, two stories. The first one is funny, I think you guys will appreciate this. So yesterday, I get a DM from a girl that I don't know, and she's like, hey, do you have the part one and part two videos from the Allure drama, from like Ebony, right? If you guys watched my episode, I think it was Monday I covered the Allure drama. Anyway, she said, do you have those videos? I went to download them to put them in my video, I guess she's making like a YouTube video or something, and they're gone. And I was like, oh yeah, like I should, I'll send them to you when I'm at my computer, send me your email. So she's like, oh my God, thank you so much, gives me her email, okay? I find the videos on my computer, I email them to her, I make the subject line just EbonyVids, I attach the TikToks, and then in the body, I just say, here you go, XX, okay? And I sent this from my Centennial World, a professional email with my email signature on it.
And then she goes to me, maybe like an hour later, she's like, I still haven't received them, but I'm sure they're coming through. And I was like, oh, okay, that's like kind of weird that you didn't get them yet. So I double check and I sent them to the wrong email. However, the email went through. So now some random girl is going to get this rogue email from me, from my work email, with my like founder and director email signature, like my company signature company email, just like random drama TikTok videos with the subject line, EbonyVids. Actually, that is 100% going to go to spam, and I wouldn't be surprised if my inbox is going to be flagged as sending inappropriate things to users, because I fear that is so sketch.
Anyways, that's on being type B. Okay, and then the second story or update that I wanted to give you guys was an update from Tuesday from that man that I had the meeting with. So thank you guys so much to everyone that like messaged and commented about it. It was honestly so sweet, like all of your support. And it's just like so classic. Like being a woman in business is just like the most classic thing is like dealing with these disgusting men. So after Mini, I actually decided to escalate this and give feedback on him and that went well. And then yesterday I got a call from somebody at this company and she was like, I wanted to give you an update. Like, thank you so much for letting us know what he messaged you because when we brought this to other people that work with him, a woman came forward who works for him. So he's her boss.
And said that she's been in like a really horrible situation with him for a long time and hasn't known how to get out of it. And so now we're going to help her get out of this. And like we would have never known this. She would have probably never let us know this. If you hadn't reported this message.
Men are fucked, but obviously, I am so glad in the scheme of things that I was on the receiving end of that message. So that now this woman felt comfortable enough to come forward. So that is the silver lining of it all. And I feel like that's kind of, I mean, it's not a happy ending, but it's kind of a happy ending. You know what I mean? It's like progress. And that's why women need to keep talking and keep sharing and keep speaking up.
Okay, let's get into the stories for today. But before I do, please remember to rate, review and subscribe. Please subscribe to us on YouTube. So many of you guys watch the channel, watch the episodes like every single day, but just like don't subscribe. And I know it's cause it just gets put in your feed, but please subscribe. Please subscribe. Okay. And leave us an Apple review and rate us on Spotify. All that stuff helps so much. Okay. The first story that I have for you guys today is one of the most viral conversations right now is all about if it is rude to ask your friends if you can stay at their place. I don't know if you guys have seen this, but it's been all over my for you page, my social media for the past couple of days. So this conversation was started by a creator named Bridget, who posted a video earlier this week saying that she thinks it's rude to ask your friend if you can stay at their place when you're visiting their city.
