Here's an interesting health story. There's been growing research around weight cycling, the familiar pattern of losing weight, gaining it back, then starting the whole process over again, or fluctuating, as many refer to it. And frankly, you don't need a study to tell you how frustrating that can be. You clean out the pantry, you swear off dessert, you lose some weight, life gets busy, and suddenly you're right back where you started. So the goal isn't just about losing weight, it's about building a routine that you can actually stick with. That's where our sponsor, Lean, from Brickhouse Nutrition comes in. Lean is a doctor-developed, non-prescription weight loss supplement designed to support weight loss in three ways. Helping convert stored fat into energy, helping maintain healthy blood sugar, and helping manage appetite and that constant food noise that can make staying on track so difficult. We have several people here at The Daily Wire who take it and swear by it. The best part, there's no complicated routine. It's just another tool to add to a healthy diet and exercise plan. And we've got you with 20% off for Morning Wire listeners. Go to takelean.com and use code WIRE for 20% off. That's code WIRE at takelean.com. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. The riots have continued to escalate in France with thousands of new arrests. The violence that has come primarily out of migrant communities has given fresh momentum to right-wing candidates as the country heads towards a presidential election.
Georgia Howe (3:07)
Daily Wire culture reporter Megan Basham is here now with the latest. So Megan, before we get into the political context here, on Monday, we did a story covering the arrests and the mayhem in the streets in Paris. But that of course has only continued to intensify. And frankly, it's really hard to believe some of the footage coming out of this. We're of course going to be playing some of that in the background. What's the latest?
Megan Basham (3:28)
Yeah, Georgia, we are in week three now of these riots. And just looking at some of the totals as a press time, we are now well over 6,000 arrests, most of them minors.
Authorities are also telling us that more than 700 officers have been injured. And as you and John discussed with Bev Turner on Monday, many people are pointing out that while there have been some wider protests going on in France, the arrests in particular are heavily concentrated among these immigrant enclaves. And then this was some footage that independent journalist Enzo Rabui captured. It's of the mayor of the French city Saint Denis. This mayor was born to West African Muslim migrants himself. And you can see him here putting himself in front of the protesters, between them and the police, shouting at the police to stop.
