Welcome to The TMZ Podcast. I am Towanda Robinson. I am so excited to be here today because I am joined by an icon, a business partner. We've got some big things to talk about.
You guys, you know what, it's funny. I always say that every time I introduce someone, I always say icon. This is a OG icon, like a legit OG. So without further ado, we have got Ice-T, we've got Courtney in here. Thank you so much. Courtney, you may call it Courtney and Court.

Super excited to have you guys. So obviously we are talking all things Ice and all things OG Network, this new streaming platform that you guys launched together earlier this year.
What made you guys want to launch this?

**Ice-T** (1:26)
Was Court's idea. You know, I became friends with Court through the Holden Court Podcast, which he was doing. And he was like, Ice, we need to own something. We need to have our own network. And I'm like, I don't know anything about the tech world. That's not my thing. And he said, I can build it. I can build it. Just, you know, be my partner, add you, you know, what do you call it?

Social currency.

**Ice-T** (1:47)
My social currency to it. And some of your, you know, some ideas and thoughts, because you do know how to handle business. So we put it together, took him about two years, and how many titles? Titles.

**Courtney** (2:03)
So we close to about almost 900 titles.

**Towanda Robinson** (2:05)
Wow.

**Courtney** (2:06)
Yeah, this is within six months.

Wow.
And you guys have original titles too. Yeah. So that's...

**Courtney** (2:11)
One of our original shows is the show with me and Lazybone, called Somebody Had to Say It. And then we got Holden Court Podcast. We have some original titles on there as well. But we got a lot of the Blacksploitation stuff. You can watch the Mac, Superfly, all the cool stuff.

**Towanda Robinson** (2:26)
You guys did a pop in with Harvey and you were bringing up some movie. He was just, what? Oh my God.

**Ice-T** (2:31)
Willie Dynamite.

I'm like, Harvey, are you faking or are you actually watching it until he's done?

No, he is not seeing nothing about none of that good pimping.

You don't think so? I think so. Harvey Loki got like a little like black side in him.

It's just the same type of thing. The thing of it is that a lot of people make content, a lot of people make movies, a lot of people have shows and then they come to me, they go, where can I get it out? I'm like, you're not getting it on NBC.
You're not going to get, I said, it's a regular network television. You can either put it up on YouTube or one of these streaming platforms. The way the streaming platforms work, we get the content, as the movie or your show shows, commercials come on and you split revenue with commercials. The same way TMZ does, they get commercials, the same thing, but it's just another level. Now, if you had a show, say you had a show, you brought it to us and we put it on and millions of people watch it, you're going to make a lot of money. If nobody watches it, you should have kept your shit.

Yeah, but you have to promote. We're just a network. We don't do the promotion. We post you and you can pull it up on Apple TV, on your phone, everywhere, Roku.

Roku, Apple TV, the App Store, Fire TV and Google Play.
