Well, some races draw attention, others become the race everyone watches. In Texas, James Tallarico and Ken Paxton are facing off in one of Cal-She's most traded midterm markets.

Follow the race in real time on Cal-She and then trade on the candidate you think is going to win. Each correct contract is worth $1 at settlement. Don't just follow the midterms. Trade what happens next on Cal-She. Use code DAILY to get up to $25 when you trade $25.

President Trump delivers remarks to the UN in his hometown of New York. Mississippi closes out the confounding Nolan Wells case, and Clavicular is charged with sex crimes. I'm Daily Wire, Executive Editor John Bickley with Georgia Howe. It's Tuesday, September 22nd, this is Evening Wire.

President Trump delivered a speech in front of thousands of world leaders and diplomats gathered in New York this morning. Here's Daily Wire contributor Tim Pierce with the latest.

John Bickley (2:04)

President Trump spoke this morning to mark the first day of the 2026 UN General Assembly. Part of the president's speech covered the war on Iran with Iranian diplomats in the crowd. He said he believes a deal will be reached after midterms.

Donald Trump (2:18)

Will a deal be made with Iran that lets them rebuild and create a far greater country than it ever was before? Maybe one of the greatest in the Middle East or even the world?

Or do I annihilate the Islamic Republic?

John Bickley (2:36)

The top issue for the General Assembly is AI and the risks around restricting or encouraging its development. The president has endorsed a hands-off approach to regulation in order to outpace China. This morning, Trump said he is changing the term artificial intelligence to something he believes is more accurate.

Donald Trump (2:53)

The United States also totally rejects any attempt to construct a globalist scheme to control for the artificial intelligence being spoken of so much now, here and after officially called super intelligence, changing the name and that the use of the word artificial makes intelligence fake. It makes it sound fake, and it is not fake. It's actually amazing, but we have to be careful.

John Bickley (3:21)

The president also went directly at the UN Human Rights Council for ignoring the persecution of Christians around the world.

Donald Trump (3:28)

The craven hypocrites of Human Rights Council have little to say about the persecution of Christians. I mean, Christians are being persecuted all over the world. It's not even believable. I never thought I'd say it, but it's been happening for a long time. So this is persecution of Christians who are the crimes of the world's most repressive regimes. Yet they want America to open up our borders to gangs and criminals from world's most dangerous places.

President Trump signed a deal today to put US military infrastructure on Greenland. The deal falls short of full acquisition of Greenland, which Trump had signaled an interest in, but it accomplishes the same strategic goals of protecting the mainland against Russian leaders from Greenland and Denmark also heralded the deal with Greenland's prime minister saying, Your security is our security and our security is your security. The Danish prime minister said the deal represents a milestone in our longstanding cooperation. Under the deal, the US gets permanent unrestricted access to the land, air and sea to build military installments and implement security protocols.

John Bickley (4:34)

The Pentagon is overhauling its system for promoting up and coming officers to be next generals and admirals. In a video statement released on social media, Department of War Secretary Pete Hegseth said the goal was to ensure future leadership was selected by war fighters and not Washington bureaucrats. The new system is dubbed the Joint Warfighting Evaluation and it involves hours long war game simulations against an adversary that reacts to decisions in real time. Many in the military have critiqued the current system for rewarding career management and internal connections over competency. The new system will begin early next year.
