President Trump's new press secretary, Katie Zachariah took to the podium for the first time today. She replaces Caroline Levitt, who left the role in August to spend more time with family. Zachariah kept her inaugural briefing short, speaking to reporters for about 15 minutes before she left the stage. But before she left to join the president on his trip to Alaska, she was asked about any guidance she received from Levitt before taking the role. Here's what that sounded like.

Katie Zachariah (2:03)

Yes, Caroline has been an incredible support. She gave me great and wonderful feedback on how to balance. I think this job is not one you necessarily balance. And I would love to share that in my career, I stayed home with my kids from 2014 to 2020 in the process of having them.

And then when I started working again, I was able to integrate them into my life.

There are many photos of which are not public, of the kids and I at Fox Bureau, where they are sitting with me in the pod before I hit. So I intend to, to the extent possible, include my family, include my kids in my work, though my work will be demanding, they will always be a priority. And President Trump is the most family friendly president we've ever had. He has hired more women with families. And the fact that he knew I had four kids, and he knew that this job would be demanding and still placed his trust in me, shows that I know I'm capable of being able to step up to that. So thank you for that question.

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is fundraising off the federal investigation into her immigration history. Daily Wire contributor Tim Peirce has more.

After her house was raided on Monday, Omar's campaign sent out an email asking supporters to chip in whatever you can to help fight the baseless partisan investigation into her. Early Monday agents with Homeland Security Investigations raided Omar's home in connection with allegations she cheated the immigration system. Immigration czar Tom Homan first confirmed the investigation into Omar back in September. But Monday's raid is a major escalation and shows how serious the probe has become. Homan hasn't detailed what agents are looking into Omar for, but there have been longstanding allegations that Omar entered into a sham marriage with her brother to ease his entry into the US.

Kimberly Guilfoyle resigned as the US ambassador to Greece today. President Trump asked her to step down after a string of reports alleging she abused her office and access to the president for payouts. She first came under scrutiny after the Wall Street Journal reported last week that she asked GOP donor Eric Dieters to pay off her $100,000 credit card bill. In exchange, the report says she promised to be his ride or die in Trump world. Trump was asked about the reports on Guilfoyle this morning.
