Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Rand Paul released Fauci's private thoughts after months of haggling over a date to testify, which Paul said Fauci never intended to do anyway.
Fauci documented his private thoughts through the height of the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent international attention he received. Much of Fauci's writings pertained to his frequent appearances in the media.
On April 7, 2020, Fauci wrote that the press is still hot and heavy about me. The next month, he gushed that he cannot even read all the things that are being written about me since I am so busy. The former chief of infectious diseases is expected to face questions about his diary as well as his response to the pandemic on Wednesday in testimony to Paul's committee.

Three people were killed and four more were wounded after a gunfight broke out at a popular Seattle food festival. Officials say officers immediately responded after at least two people began to fire at each other at the annual Bite of Seattle Food Festival. Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson reacted to the tragedy last night.

What happened here today at the Seattle Center was an unbelievable tragedy, a horrific act of violence. My heart right now is with the victims and their families and with everyone in our community who is reeling from what happened here today.

Police were able to arrest one suspect at the scene and are still searching for another. Assistant Police Chief Tyrone Davis told reporters last night that there is not believed to be an outstanding threat to the community.

Another apparent Islamic terror attack took place today in Paris. Reporter Jacob Wheeler has the details.

An Islamic terror attack in Paris this morning has left three women injured. Two of the women remain in critical condition, falling stab wounds to the back and abdomen. Bystanders captured video of the attacker running erratically down the street with two kitchen knives before being subdued by an off-duty police officer.
Once detained, the attacker could be heard shouting, quote, It is Allah who ordered me. The identities of the victims, one of whom is pregnant, have not been released.

Former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has a set date for court after being arrested last week. Daily Wire associate producer Justice Bueller has the details.

Retired NFL quarterback and current CBS Sports analyst Tony Romo was arrested Thursday night in Milwaukee on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Under Wisconsin law, a first OWI violation is typically treated as a civil offense rather than a criminal one. Authorities say the 46-year-old was unable to pass field sobriety tests after being pulled over during a traffic stop on I-43.
Romo was taken into custody, booked, and later released. He is due back in court on September 21st and CBS has not yet publicly commented on the incident.

The wife of the Kansas City Chief's offensive coordinator has been hospitalized after she was allegedly shot by their 27-year-old son.
Loudoun County Sheriff's deputies responded late Sunday to a shooting in Ashburn, Virginia and found Mia Bienemie suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The Bienemies still have a home in Ashburn from Eric Bienemie's time with the Washington Commanders. Mia was hospitalized and is in stable condition. Police arrested her son, Elijah Zion Bienemie, early on Monday morning and charged him with malicious wounding.
