A landmark 30-year agreement approved by President Trump will see the US help provide Saudi Arabia with its own civilian nuclear program, possibly paving the way for the kingdom to enrich its own uranium.

Daily Wire Washington Bureau Chief Tim Rice joins us now with more. Tim, thanks for coming on.

So first, what do we know about the terms of this agreement?

**Tim Rice** (3:04)
Yeah, so it's something called a one, two, three agreement. It's something that the United States has with more than 20 other countries.
And basically what it says is the United States essentially agrees to backfill or help these countries develop, as John was saying at the top there, civilian nuclear programs. So we're thinking nuclear reactors to power infrastructure, to power homes, right? Nuclear power plants, not nuclear weapons, although we will come back to that. So the president agreed or signed off on this agreement. What it says is over the course of 30 years, the United States will and American companies and the American government will help this party government build up nuclear facilities. They would do it under what they're calling a black box arrangement, which essentially means that the United States is going to transmit a lot of secret and classified knowledge and technology. And Riyadh is just agreeing basically not to share it with other competitors, people who are not party to this agreement. It's expected to bring in about $10 billion to Saudi Arabia. And it's also supposed to be a boon to the United States because among other things, including the fact that American companies and the American government will have a hand in building this nuclear facility, one of the main goals as stated by the Saudi government is the more we can power our infrastructure by nuclear power, the less we have to rely on the oil and gas that we produce, the more that we can export that oil and gas to countries like the United States, the more you all will see oil and gas prices fall.
