Hi guys, welcome back to the Reality Receipts Podcast, starring me, StorytimeWithRikkii.
Ashley (0:11)
And me, Reality Ashley. We are finally back to talk about Love Is Blind Netherlands, 6-8, what a dumpster fire. But we were going to be here yesterday, but Rikkii had a little, she's a little down bad in the hospital, poor girl, but she's back, thankfully.
Rikkii (0:28)
Yes, guys. Oh my God, you bitch, they tried to take me out, okay?
Our own bodies, you're doing it to us. Our own bodies, it be your own self. So I'm on my menstrual cycle. And for those of you who don't know, I get really, really terrible, painful periods. Usually I'm able to just push through it and just I'm down for two days and I'll bounce back. But this time I was, I thought that my appendix had ruptured. I literally like you messaged Ashley. Like I think it's my appendix. Like something's going on. This is not normal. The pain was constant. It would not go away. So at three o'clock in the morning, I Ubered to the emergency room, all for them to just tell me, yeah, it's fibroids and you know, you have a small cyst and possible endometriosis. These are all things that I've been known.
And yeah, so here's some pain pills. Go about your way. Follow up with your, what did they say? They said follow up with my primary to get a referral to my OB to possibly discuss either removing the fibroids or removing my entire uterus. So if there's any OBs out there that are in California and accepting new clients, you let me know because I need an OB. Like I don't know what to do at this point. It seems like every month it's getting worse. Like last month, I felt like I almost needed to go, but then I usually just like after two or three days, the pain subsides a bit and I'm like, okay, but I get my period every 21 days. So dealing with this every 21 days is a fucking nightmare. I'm like, we've too much shit to do. I'm like, all I'm thinking about, I'm like, you guys literally dying, okay? I'm voice noting Ashley like, hey girl, I'm on the way to the emergency room. I'll let you know when I'm out so we can get to our recording. All I'm thinking about in the emergency room is like, damn it, we have to record the podcast today. I'm like, I just don't have time for this. I'm glad it's happening now before our Charleston trip, but it's just like, what if something important, what if Charleston was yesterday? There's no way that I would have been able to get up. Usually, I can push through, but I just couldn't. I was in so much pain. But I'm back. They gave your girl a Norco. First of all, I don't even understand why people like those things. The come down off of that shit was so, I felt like a fucking zombie. I was like, this is disgusting. I felt like I had to throw up, I had a headache. I was like, people like this? People like this feeling. It literally sucked.
I'm back. I'm feeling much better.
I didn't die. No worries.

We can always take a day off. Like we said, we got the rest of the week. Obviously, we are excited to talk about Netherlands, but there was three episodes out yesterday, so I think it worked out perfectly. Now people have time to watch all three. We are talking about three because I know someone was upset last time. We forgot to say we're about to talk about all five because we normally don't do that, but we had warned you guys in the previous episode, but they must have not heard that one. So yeah, but we are going to do all three. When you went to the ER, was it a man doctor or a woman doctor?
Rikkii (3:52)
It was a woman. Yeah, it was a woman.
Actually, I actually didn't even see a doctor. I saw a physician's assistant. Yeah.
It's like they did everything. They took a CT scan. They took two freaking, what do you call them? Ultrasounds. Then the first one didn't come out right. They were like, it looks like there's no blood flow to your right ovary. Then they redid it and was like, actually, your right ovary is fine. It was just, this has happened to me before. A few years ago, I was hospitalized. I would have to go every, it was like two months in a row where I got my period, I just had to go to the emergency room because I was in so much pain. I ended up just getting on birth control to avoid getting a period at all. Then I was like, this can't be good for me to just be on birth control with, I don't really need to be on birth control because we all know I'm not a man, we all know I ain't, so I'm like, I don't really need to be on it.
