When you think about Crocs, you think the classic clog. But did you know there's also a canvas clog, a vegan suede clog, a coastal-inspired style, a style with studs, straps, and lots of sass.

Honestly, I could keep going with the surprises. You've got to see them for yourself because there is literally a style for every kind of girl. So do your thing and head to crocs.com or a store near you now.

We kick things off with a major technology partnership that's pushing heavy-duty autonomous trucking toward highway operations. Swedish company Einride announced Monday it will build the next generation of its autonomous driving system on Nvidia's Hyperion platform, a compute and sensor reference architecture, specifically designed for level 4 autonomy. Einride already runs hundreds of electric trucks for shippers in the US, Europe and the Middle East, including autonomous trucks already working in contracted customer deployments. The company expects that footprint to reach 1,500 to 2,000 vehicles by 2028, based on customer demand captured on its platform so far. About 80 percent of that demand is suitable for automation in the medium term, the company said. The two companies will work directly to extend Hyperion's compute, sensor, software and safety architecture to the demands of heavy-duty freight, with Nvidia supplying the compute platform and AI development tools, while Einride handles the driving system design, safety validation, regulatory approval and customer deployments. Over on the rails, a major merger review hit a significant snag despite officially moving forward. The Surface Transportation Board declined Friday to dismiss the Union Pacific-Norfolk Southern merger application at the request of BNSF-CSX and a coalition of shipper groups. But appointed concurring opinion from board member Richard Kloster revealed significant reservations about the application as it currently stands. Kloster, a Trump administration appointee, wrote that the merger application is shallow, lacks detail on how Union Pacific will address competition concerns and fails to offer meaningful concessions.

His skepticism is particularly notable because Union Pacific CEO Jim Vena appeared with President Trump in the Oval Office in September, and Trump subsequently called the merger a good idea. Kloster was careful to note he was not prejudging the merits, and looked forward to development of the record, saying he was only reporting initial observations. Meanwhile, North American rail traffic rebounded sharply in week 37

With total volume up 4.6% year over year, US intermodal jumping 6.9% and US car loads excluding coal and grain up a notably strong 6.3%.

Finally, fleet technology giant Samsara is going after a massive $2 billion opportunity hiding in plain sight. The company launched its Fuel Command Center on August 19th, a new dashboard that consolidates total and recoverable fuel spend in one view, and splits the recoverable share into root causes like idling, driver behavior, fraud, suspicious fuel drops, and fueling at the wrong locations. Samsara estimates its US customers had roughly $2 billion in potential fuel spend savings in the first six months of 2026 alone. The platform pulls transactions from any fleet's existing fuel card, integrates Coast's spend controls directly, and connects to WEX and COM data. To combat fraud, which rises roughly 9 percent for every 10 cent increase in the price of diesel, according to Samsara analysis, the system ties card authorization to vehicle location and blocks the transaction when the assigned vehicle is not present. One customer trades holding reported fuel expenses dropped by nearly $15,000 a month after implementing the system.
