So we have, we're back to celebrity news today. It looks like we're talking A-list celebrities. Oh. Wouldn't you say, I would say all three of these people are A-listers? Yeah. So we actually just broke the news on the website a few minutes ago.

Ed Sheeran's concerts at Gillette Stadium have been canceled.

Yeah, but not the reason that you would think.

Because obviously there's been a lot of controversy around Ed, around Macklemore, Palestine, Israel, has nothing to do with that actually. But the concerts are canceled. We'll get into that.

I know nothing. I'm just going to say up front. I know nothing about these new songs that Taylor Swift.

Let's get to the actual news. So Ed Sheeran was supposed to have two shows tonight, tomorrow at Gillette Stadium. There was a lot, I mean, Gillette was kind of the main hotbed of the conversation because Robert Kraft got involved in an election.

Courtney (2:19)

Wanted Macklemore not to come up there.

Deven (2:20)

Yeah, so people were saying it was Kraft who called his friends and strong-armed Ed Sheeran to drop Macklemore over the Palestine comments. So the concerts have been canceled, but I've never heard of this, but a massive nor'eastern storm.

Yeah. You're not from the East Coast, so you wouldn't know, but it's like a real thing.

Deven (2:39)

First time I've heard of a nor'eastern. Can you guys, are you from, you're from back East, right?

Yeah, it's not snow. It's like rain, it's weather, it's just everything.

Got it. So we had sources who have confirmed...

They can cause a lot of damage.

The shows were canceled because of bad weather, essentially. So I guess the stage construction, they had already stopped it on Thursday because basically people came in and said, you know, this extreme weather is like 40 mile per hour wind, a couple inches of rain was going to be too dangerous. So we actually got a statement from Robert Kraft, who said stadium and tour management, along with public safety officials, have been closely monitoring the weather forecast over the past week to the severe weather forecast. Throughout the weekend, the tour has made the difficult decision to cancel the Ed Sheeran concerts at Gillette.

Just such weird timing. It all just feels like...

Deven (3:31)

Yeah, everyone's getting refunds, so that's cool, but I bet fans aren't very happy, because I saw there was some speculation, we put a story up last night, that it could be in limbo because of the weather. And then I saw a lot of people sharing a lot of these Ed Sheeran concert videos, where he's performing in like, torrential downpours.

Courtney (3:48)

But did they know it was coming?

But I don't think that's a Northeastern.

No, it's not. And if like, they didn't know it was coming, that could be like, surprise rain, which is like different. The show is like, already happening. If you know this is coming, you don't want to like, mess with it.
