Luckily, my wife handled pretty much everything, but I was somewhat stressed.

Yeah. I'm sure everyone knows by now. Obviously, we lost an absolute icon, a legend.

Dolly Parton passed away yesterday at the age of 80
We posted a lot of stories on the website of just some details. Obviously, there's an outpouring of tributes from pretty much everyone in the industry.

**Courtney** (1:03)
Every block of life. Yeah. It doesn't matter who you are. Someone like they knew Dolly and they loved her.

**Deven** (1:07)
Right. And also, I think the most surprising one that was kept under wraps was her team put out a statement at the end of the day, and revealed what she was battling at the end of her life. So we will get into that.
The secretary, Megyn Kelly, right? Blasting Kanye and Kim and saying they're bad parents. Yeah.

And a little bit of Dr. Drew.

Oh, Dr. Drew blasted them too.

Yeah, he kind of got in on it as well.

So we'll play that clip, and I will react live because I have not seen what they said. I know these two, and I'm sure I know exactly what they said.

And finally, the people of Philadelphia can rest easy because this guy who was terrorizing the town, dressed up as Chucky, was captured by the US. Marshals.

Okay. So on a more serious note, Dolly Parton, like we said, passed away yesterday.
So we had been following this for a while. It was pretty open that she had been battling a lot of health issues. She was supposed to have her big residency in Vegas that got postponed, but it didn't get canceled. So to me, postponed means they felt like she was going to get better and be able to do it at some point. We were told that she was battling kidney problems as well.

Stomach, right?

**Deven** (2:28)
Yeah, as well as just some other health, lingering health problems. She was hospitalized on Friday and ultimately passed away on Tuesday morning. So yesterday morning.

**Courtney** (2:40)
Very fast.

**Deven** (2:41)
So yeah, really fast. People close to her were, we were told, were shocked. Like they knew she was battling these health issues, but it seemed like she, you know, she always had kind of got on the other side of things.

**Courtney** (2:51)
Yeah, they had full hope that she would recover from it.

**Deven** (2:53)
Yeah, no one thought, okay, maybe she was hospitalized, but the people who knew didn't think that, that she was going to be passing away.

No.

So very sad.

She was an amazing woman.

**Deven** (3:02)
She was.

**Courtney** (3:04)
She was just so much fun. She was so smart. She was always herself and never scared to just be herself. Right. And her songs were amazing.

**Deven** (3:12)
Oh, I mean her catalog insane. I'm not Eric here who knows like every number one she's had.

**Courtney** (3:18)
Well, Jo Lee is back at number one today. Yeah, I saw that this morning.

**Deven** (3:20)
That's not shocking at all. I'm sure in a week, the entire iTunes, whatever.

**Courtney** (3:23)
Do you know why she wrote that song?

**Deven** (3:25)
No clue.

**Courtney** (3:26)
Because one of the bank tellers, her name was Jo Lee, she thought that she had a crush on her husband. So she wrote that song about her.

**Deven** (3:32)
Interesting.

**Courtney** (3:33)
I know. I love her.

**Deven** (3:34)
She wouldn't have that issue nowadays because you don't even need to see bank tellers.

**Courtney** (3:37)
No, you do not. At least she did because that song was great.

**Deven** (3:42)
No, great song. She's got a bunch of great songs. Seemed like the sweetest lady in the world, did a lot of charity.

**Courtney** (3:47)
Well, her dad couldn't read, so she made sure every kid that she could was able to have books under five. I think she donated over 300 million books to kids.
