Branson Quirk (0:08)

Hey, welcome to The TMZ Podcast, I'm Branson Quirk.

Talia Block (0:11)

I'm Talia Block.

Branson Quirk (0:13)

It's got to be short for Natalia, right?

Talia Block (0:16)

Okay, so not only are you wrong, but you're an idiot. Moving on.

Branson Quirk (0:20)

So wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.

Talia Block (0:21)

It's just Talia, T-A-L-I-A, you can look it up. It's a really common name in many different cultures.

Branson Quirk (0:28)

So let's say this, I'm your parents, okay? And this is your birth certificate. And I'm like, all right, love, let's do her name now. Let's go get the hospital sandwiches downstairs, and then let's see.

Wait, what are we naming her again? Oh, Natalia, and they wrote it down. And then that was history.

Talia Block (0:47)

So no, so it's currently ranked number 265 for baby girl names in the United States. So it's like actually a normal name. You know Talia Shire?

Branson Quirk (0:59)

I wasn't shading like the name. I was just shading like how it became. No, I'm shading like the family.

Talia Block (1:06)

Oh, okay.

Oh my God, why didn't you just start with that? I feel so much better now. What the hell is wrong? What is the hiring process here?

Branson Quirk (1:15)

Everyone always says that to me. Why does everybody always say that to me, man?

Talia Block (1:19)

Gee, I wonder why.

Branson Quirk (1:20)

I'm just kidding, Ron. I love Talia, I love her name. I love her parents and the way that they wrote it down I'm not sure if I can catch them Moving on, we have all a variety of stories to talk about today, but I've seen a lot of comments out there, so I'm gonna add heed to what people like. People don't like the T's. I've seen enough comments to... You don't like the what? The T's, where we tell them the stories we're about to talk about. Oh, they don't wanna know. No, we're just gonna go into the stories, get to it. They don't like when we talk too much either.

Talia Block (1:57)

They want us to get to the stories.

Branson Quirk (1:57)

All right, let's stop then. So, no, no, no, no, it's okay to have some, you know, filibuster in the beginning. Okay, we'll get some organic banter.

Talia Block (1:58)

I hope you had a good Labor Day weekend, by the way.

Branson Quirk (1:58)

Thank you. Did you?

Talia Block (1:59)

You know what I did, I went to OHI, there's gonna be an Instagram dump probably going up today, so... Are you thinking? What are you thinking?

Branson Quirk (2:07)

Where is Ojai?

Talia Block (2:08)

Ojai is about an hour and a half north of Los Angeles County. It's kind of like a beautiful, small, quaint hippie farm town.

What kind of vibe, you're oxnard? Oxnard?

Branson Quirk (2:17)

Just say it's your aunt's farm.

Talia Block (2:19)

No, Steph actually took me for a late birthday treat.

Branson Quirk (2:21)

Really? Steph is one of our social people?

Talia Block (2:23)

She's the best. We had a grand old time is.

Branson Quirk (2:27)

Do you remember it?

Talia Block (2:30)

And so what are the stories today?

Branson Quirk (2:31)

So moving on, we're going to get to the stories now. Hope you guys all had a great Labor Day weekend, by the way. I was sick of being at home and I'm so excited to be back here at this desk on The TMZ Podcast Afternoon Edition.

SPEAKER_3 (2:42)

Let's get it.

Branson Quirk (2:43)

Let's go. Well, unfortunately, we have a couple, you know.

Talia Block (2:46)

Stories are not, we're like being really funny. These stories are not funny.

Branson Quirk (2:50)

And we're not making light of these whatsoever, but we are going to talk about the David case and there is a new update with the family who has filed a wrongful death lawsuit. And then we do have a couple more stories that we'll get into after that. But let's start with David. So Celeste Rivas' family, Celeste Rivas Hernandez, her family is filing a wrongful death lawsuit against David. Real name, by the way, if you didn't know this, David Anthony Burke. But you may know him as the D4vd, right?

So this is now creating a separate civil fight while his criminal murder case continues. The family is also suing David's manager, Josh Marshall, his mother, Colleen Burke, and his live-in security guard, Sheldon Jacquez.

Talia Block (3:34)

So that last name is pronounced Jacques.

Branson Quirk (3:37)

Is that right?

Talia Block (3:37)

Sheldon Jacques.

Branson Quirk (3:38)

Jacques, okay, I'm sorry.
