Hey, everyone, I'm Morgan Stewart, and welcome to The Morgan Stewart Show. I'm gonna be talking about pop culture, fashion, my personal life, and just a warning, I will be giving my opinions on everything. And those opinions are subject to change, okay? Now, let's get into it.
Okay, so I'm gonna get into the combo, but Amanda Hirsch is here, from Not Skinny But Not Fat. The joke when we started the show was like, it's so nice to be like, Amanda Hirsch, welcome to Call Her Daddy. Like, I just wish the show was called Call Her Daddy, because it's just such an easy, like she has that set up so well, and I'm always like, I'm like you, it's awkward to like, how do you like introduce, like?
Amanda Hirsch (0:40)
I know.
Morgan Stewart (0:41)
Right, you just wanna talk and be natural, and then be like.
Amanda Hirsch (0:43)
But I listen to like podcasts. Wait, you do? Yeah.
Morgan Stewart (0:48)
What podcasts are you listening to?
Amanda Hirsch (0:49)
It's gonna sound like I'm such a fucking like, like not a feminist, it's all male podcasts.
Morgan Stewart (0:56)
I fucking, like who, tell me.
Amanda Hirsch (0:57)
Conan O'Brien, Smartless, Armchair.
Morgan Stewart (1:00)
That's all you're listening to?
Amanda Hirsch (1:01)
And only men.
Morgan Stewart (1:02)
Who's your favorite?
Amanda Hirsch (1:05)
Between Conan and Smartless. Armchair is a little deep, but Conan and Smartless is just like a fun convo, and I know I won't have any feelings around it.
Morgan Stewart (1:15)
What does that expand on that? What do you mean you won't have any feelings?
Amanda Hirsch (1:18)
Like I won't be jelly of the guest, I won't feel like competitive, I won't try to like be like that. Do you know what I mean? I think it's like a self-protection, preservation thing.
Morgan Stewart (1:30)
That is a really self-aware thing for you to say, to be honest. It's also maybe just like putting the guardrails on, like you don't even want to be influenced by other things.
Amanda Hirsch (1:38)
I think it's like guardrails, so I'm not influenced, so I don't get the like competitive thing, and I just like stay in my lane, do my own thing, don't feel, is that on my chart?
Morgan Stewart (1:48)
Well, no, I was just, because I was thinking about-
Amanda Hirsch (1:50)
I was just gonna say that on my chart.
Morgan Stewart (1:51)
No, because we're obviously both May Geminis, and we both have Mercury in Gemini, and I wonder if your Mid Heaven is in Gemini. It doesn't say. You have a Sag Moon.
But I am also, I think first of all, being competitive is like a very healthy trait. It makes you feel like you're alive. I think if it is destructive and you can't function, if you don't sort of surpass somebody or win, I think that's when it becomes a slippery slope. But to feel a sense of competition makes me feel like, or represents to me that you want to be your best self. Would you agree with that?
Amanda Hirsch (2:26)
I don't know. I think that, no, no, I'm trying to answer that because I think that for me, it's like, my general sense, and you're gonna ask me is it the Zolafter, is it me? I love you so much. I am so content and so happy and so lucky. And there are days that you're like, I fucking get to get paid for doing what I love and what I've always wanted to do. That should be enough point the fuck period.
Morgan Stewart (2:49)
Correct.
Amanda Hirsch (2:49)
And then when you start wanting all the things, then you're like, okay, that's healthy because you want more, right? It's like you're like, I'm doing great, but more is better. But then if you start saying, I want what she has and what she has and why am I not getting this? That's a feeling I don't want to have.
So I think I just like, without really making a rule, it's more like I want to have positive feelings towards everyone, and I want to feel good about what I'm doing. So if there are things that can help me not feel like.
Morgan Stewart (3:18)
Stressed out?
Amanda Hirsch (3:19)
Yeah, or like again, having that, when it's negative. I think like, but I see other people get that way too, and I know other influencers, podcasters that will talk to me about that. Like, you know, why not me vibes? I hate the why not me vibe. The why not me. The why not me I hate, and I don't want it in my life, you know, because like I want to be happy with what I have.
