With summer almost here, so many of us are thinking about family travel, getting away for a bit, but you also want to make sure, given how expensive things are, that you are budgeting accordingly. One way to get your finances organized ahead of this busy season, and frankly, all year round is with the Monarch Money app. Monarch is a personal finance app that tracks everything, accounts, investments, savings goals, and spending. You can get your first year of Monarch Core for half off, just $50 with the promo code mo news. What I like about Monarch, we've been using this for a while in my house, is it keeps everything in one place. You're not bouncing between various financial apps. You can track your investments, you can track your banking, you can track your credit cards. It also has a weekly AI recap that's been very useful that flags spending spikes, shifts in net worth, and upcoming expenses before they sneak up on you. That's probably the biggest thing for me and for so many of us, is taking that mental load off and that's something Monarch does. It feels less like reacting after money is gone and more like planning ahead. It's a real financial advisor in your pocket. You can use the code mo news at monarch.com to get your first year off of Monarch Core, half off at just $50.
Again, that's 50% off your first year at monarch.com with the code mo news.
Hey everybody, it is Monday, June 8th. You're listening to the Mo News podcast. I'm Moshe Oinounou.

I'm Jill Wagner. This is the place where we bring you just the facts.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (2:13)
We read all the news and read between the lines so you don't have to.
All eyes right now on the NBA finals, especially here in New York, Jill. Game three, Knicks spurs. Knicks pulled off another huge win on Friday night. They're looking for a sweep here in New York right now.
**Jill Wagner** (2:29)
Moshe, I look forward to the game. I also look forward to see who's sitting in the front row. I love seeing all the celebs at the Knicks games.
Tonight, President Trump says he plans to attend.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (2:41)
Yeah, at least adds up this taping. He says he plans to be there and he is a longtime New Yorker, Knicks fan. You often saw him sitting in the front row there. You saw photos of him from the 80s, from the 90s, from the early 2000s, though that was all prior to him being president.
There are definitely people who are like, the last thing we need right now is the Secret Service and various security requirements that will now be imposed on MSG in what already has a huge security cordon. They're talking about TSA style scanning and procedures, fans having to go through enhanced security measures, a strict no bag policy, a variety of things. And then you saw Stephen A. Smith, who's a sports commentator, who might be running for president as a Democrat. Nonetheless, he spoke out over the weekend being like, can you just not come, like can we just not make the NBA Finals political? And he says that he would have said the same thing for Barack Obama, that like leave sports pure, especially in this day and age, like let people just enjoy sports for what it is. So it's not political, there's no booing, you know, who knows what's gonna happen with the president if he attends tonight?

We shall see, all I know is my son has his Jalen Brunson jersey ready to go. And his Knicks pajamas.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (3:55)
Jalen Brunson, the pride of Adlai E. Stevenson High School, Jill. He is now, I think, the most famous alum for my high school, though I was there like a decade before him.
