Party pollsters are warning that Trump's low numbers could really drain turnout when it matters most.

And the economic data backs that anxiety up. Only 22% of Americans say the economy is good or excellent, according to Gallup.
That gap between official messaging and lived experience is critical here. Because for most people, the economy isn't a speech. It's math. What they can afford, what they cannot, and what keeps getting more expensive.

Speaking of that disconnect, there's this striking interview with Lance Sentick, a three-time Trump voter from rural Iowa.
